Check this out, get marketing to loads of sites for your game. Well that's what I can see browsing on my phone. Very cool service though.
Just while we're on the topic:
TIGSource - Press Distribution Services (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=4520.0)
Games Press - Submitting Games (http://www.gamespress.com/about_howtosubmit.asp)
All gotten from here: The Big List of Indie Sites on Pixel Prospector (http://www.pixelprospector.com/indev/2009/12/the-big-list-of-indie-game-sites/) - I looked at it quickly when they first posted it, but it came to mind when you posted this.

nice to know, I wanted to know if those PAD submission things really work? there is a software package I used called robosoft 4 by submit everywhere (30 day free trial), I used it and the next day I had almost a thousand links on a google search! so it looks like it works, but, does it really work work? search for "submit everywhere" if you want to check it out!
Ive never really trusted the "submit everywhere" software and/or websites. In general I shy away from them. All I did for my website is sugmit it to google: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools, I have 3000 unique visitors every month at the moment (2 years or so down the line) and average about 15000 hits a month, and thats despite the fact that I dont have much content there yet.
If you want to get your game out there, you need to:
a) Have a website for it (ie. dedicated)
b) Have your own website that you share it on
AND c) Submit a press release with things of awesome to gaming news agregators and press companies.
None of the above guarantees you exposure, but every little bit helps. (I could have had a write-up of Pea Adventures in the Randburg Sun when we were doing the marketing competition, but I lost steam half-way through the process of setting up and interview)
There is a lot of things you can do, but the above 3 things in general are the biggest things. Of the 3, you could scratch (a) completely if you dont have funds or time to maintain 2 websites, but for (b) grab some free hosting, set up a CMS (I use drupal which serves me well as I dont have time to write and maintain my own code base) put your games up there, and submit it using google webmaster tools. Keep adding things regularly and you will have great success getting your name out there.
