C++ 3D Programmer Johannesburg, South Africa R420K – R300K CTC Our client, a market leader in the IT computer graphics space, would like to offer an opportunity to a creative C++ Programmer in their computer and video gaming development team. Your 3 years + Programming experience with knowledge of either the OpenGL or DirectX computer graphic APIs is essential. Experience working with advanced 3D computer graphics programming, including such areas as engine design, pipeline optimisation, shaders, and special effects will be an advantage. It's a trick: If you don't know who Luke is, you probably don't have the experience ;)

That said, there are actually quite a few programmers with 3 years experience in 3D graphics in SA. Nearly a whole dozen!

Any idea who the company is that's hiring? It's a pretty good salary and I'd be interested to see their products.

No idea. I'd hazard they're either a company that isn't hooked into the local community, or they're looking for people that for some reason or other aren't regular community participators. It's hard finding skills locally that aren't already employed elsewhere...

I've hired through Liezel before, so I'm inclined to say us, but I don't think we pay that well!

Might be some guys doing simulations in real time 3D, or perhaps a gambling-games related company. I used to work for a company where we did training and simulations products for the mining industry and did a lot of realtime 3D, later they switched to pre-rendered videos and such as they started focusing more on training than simulations.

Well, if anyone apply let us know what is was about.
