Hi there

There's a team in Cape Town that need to hire a programmer for making mobile games...

They'll be initially developing for the iPhone in Unity... possibly branching onto other platforms later.

Unity experience is a big bonus but not required... Also any mobile development, game development or other skills that could help develop games for mobile devices are bonuses.

Good programming skills are required.

They could also hire an intern if you need to get some experience first

Private message me or reply to this post if you are interested or know someone who would be interested.

Hi there again...

I've realised that many programmers tend to ignore online job listings when salaries aren't mentioned... I suppose there aren't a lot of serious South African game ventures out there...

So the salary on offer is R20000 a month, assuming the applicant has the qualifications necessary to perform the job... Like I mentioned the company is also willing to accept someone who still needs a little training, but that would be at a lower salary until the programmer can be productive. Also I imagine if the applicant is blindingly good they might be able to negotiate a better rate.

It would be working in a team of about 6 to 8 people and they're good people, they've all got a year or more worth of professional experience.

If you know anyone who would be interested please get hold of me and refer me to a portfolio.

Thanks

Hey,

I'll try poke around with the students I know, since they'll mebbeh be looking to get some sorta intern position.

I myself will not be staying in Cape Town (at least yet) but the job sounds pretty cool. I'll try direct whoever I can.
