a fairly long time ago I played a demo of a game called stratosphere, which had you building a floating island fortress and flying around blasting other such fortresses, but even though you had a floating fortress vertical movement wasn't included (I don't quite remember but I believe it wasn't).
any way I felt it would be interesting to try make it into a tactical strategy type game rather than a third person fortress shooter.

Essential features
-ability to build a ship [done]
-basic movement by painting tactical move paths [done]
-energy and energy costs for movement [done]
-basic enemies to attack [pending]
-the ability to attack said enemies [in the pipeline]

wish list
- contextual modules that change based on their placement relative to the rest of the ship
- the ability to rotate the ship
- have only facing weapons be able to fire on an enemy

I probably wont get this to the point of being finished
my time management sucks and this is a reminder to me to start on time in future

Edit:
I forgot to add a readme
so for now
C- select cannon module
E- select Energy module
left click on an open space adjacent to a module to place a new module
click and drag any module to draw a move path
release to start moving
if you run out of energy before completing the path you can right click to cancel the current path

Dear judges - I demand a 10 point bonus for a fantastic game title. That is all.

I would have liked to try out a fuller version where I can pit my fortress against others, because I adore games where you build custom stuff and try it out against the Deadly Unknown. That said, what there is, works, and works well. It'd be cool to see you expand on it at some point.

I built myself a mothership and moved it around a bit, nice start!

I do not know stratosphere, but I'd also like to see how this idea develop further.
