Weird, my post New Thread button still shows a lock
Back on topic
Objective:
Get a highscore! :p
(NOTE: score is exponentionial, get a big chain and you can easily reach a million, (7x chain = 800 000 odd))
Controls:
Alt = Quit
Ctrl = Drop Ball
Arrows = Move ball left or right
How it works:
If the number on the ball matches the number of balls in the row or column it disappears
(Grey balls count as balls too, destroy blocks near to grey ones to break them open)
Download demo:
Demo Link (http://www.filedropper.com/nonameyet)
(Approx 2 mb)
To do list:
Improve graphics
Sound
Visual effects when a ball disappears
Menu
Tutorial
Highscore
Score+Chain display in main window
Known errors:
Grey disks cracking, but then not breaking and reverting back to solid

Um... This is a 1-1 remake of Chain Factor (http://chainfactor.com) is it not?
Remakes are ok, but it would be preferable if you expanded on the game's concept :)

It is indeed, unfortunatly the version i have saved on my computer, all the powers are locked, so i cant see what they are, so im intending on making my own powers as the modification, but now that i check out the internet link again i see they all unlocked, is this entry still valid if i create my own powers? (i promise not to look at the original ones :P)
(NOTE: here proof (http://www.filedropper.com/proof_5) that i dont know the powers)

I think what dis is saying is, try to expand on the original game's concept, which means doing more than just changing the powers. It means giving it a twist of sorts, so that the game has a different playing mechanic or does things in a different way, a unique way that hasn't been done before (new powers don't necessarily constitute as unique). It's more about the concept, the basic idea behind the game and how it works that you should look at and see how you could change that into your own unique version of it.
That said, I have never played Chain Factor, and if the powers play a huge role in the basic concept of the game, then perhaps changing the powers would be considered an expansion on the game's concept.
But as dis said, remakes are ok, so if you really want to go at it as it is, that's fine too. It's just always fun to come up with something new, and two different games are better than two of the same.

Hey, I'm not knocking you for remaking the game: I'd friggin play it to death on my phone! But the problem is that it's not your property, so you couldn't sell it if you made a really neat faithful copy...
Take the mechanic and play with it, see what works and what doesn't. You've got the time to do it in ;)
Maybe you can have shapes other than circles that could forcibly end rows (like circles with one flat side). Maybe you could have blanks that didn't add up on the current row, but affected the one above. Maybe you could drop a piece that swapped two adjacent numbers... Ask random questions, try to look at it from new angles, experiment and see where it goes.
I never really liked the powers aspect of Chain Factor and I played it for hours at a time.
