Hi All

I've sent GeometriX a message asking if I can post this here, he hasn't gotten back to me yet, so I'll post this here until they remove it or move it to another sub-forum.

I've met some of you Game.Dev people at rAge last year, I was one of the UCT guys asking plenty of questions about games and game design. That trip for us was a data gathering interview for Mat, one of my fellow Master's students. This year I'm doing my own research into game developer/desgner's attitudes and habits to testing their games. I've created a survey which generaly asks about your testing methods and practices, but also your attitudes towards user experience testing.

If you guys would like to fill out my survey and return it to me via email (darrenste@gmail.com) I would greatly appreciate it. The survey can be found on my Master's webpage: http://www.wix.com/DarrenSteward/UCT-page or directly from here:http://www.quickshare.co.za/files/jd9fmy6x/Game_Developer_Survey.doc.html just navigate to the Survey tab, at the top of the page, and follow the instructions. This survey will contibute to my overall Master's dissertation, and hopefully give my research a basis for a practical application.

Thanks very much, and if you have any questions feel to email me or send me a pm.

Cheers

Darren

Maybe include a link to directly download the document. Some people don't have the patience to wait for all the flash to load and then to go look for where the survey is ;)

Thanks for the suggestion xyber (Thanks).

Here is a link directly to the Game Developer Survey: http://www.quickshare.co.za/files/jd9fmy6x/Game_Developer_Survey.doc.html, for those who don't want to go to my site. The instructions on my site are as follows:

"Welcome to the Game Developer Survey page. This survey is intended for those people who develop or design computer or console games. The survey focuses on developer or designers habits for testing their games. If you have experience in this field please take the time to fill out the survey provided below. Once the survey is completed please return it to me, Darren Steward, at darrenste@gmail.com. Thank you."

For those who just want to see more of what I'm doing can still stop by for a look around at: http://www.wix.com/DarrenSteward/UCT-page

Thanks again

I need some sort of converter to display the Word doc. Can we just get a normal document to fill in?

OpenOffice.org can open it.

Here are a couple of more formats of the survey. The one in the previous posts was created in Open Office but I used a MS Word extension to make it easier for you guys, that was an obvious fail. So here are a few more formats. First one is .odt and second a plain old Rich Text Format (RTF). One of these has to work. :)

RTF

I've already had one come in so thanks very much.

Howzit

Just a reminder to you guys and girls, I'm still needing a couple more surveys so if you can take some time to complete it it would be much appreciated. I"m going to be closing it soon, in 1 weeks time.

Cheers
