Well of course I love hacker games (Uplink etc)... But what struck me is how well implemented this story is. I am usually happiest committing headshots, but this made me happy through text alone.

Obviously not everyone is going to like this. But I think the game design is quite clever. I'm not going to say anymore though.

Thanks for the linky BlackShips.

First time playing this type of game, I'm quite enjoying it so far.

I don't know you many of you are interested in chiptunes, but the closing song on Digital:A Love Story got me searching these guys out:

http://www.8bitpeoples.com/discography/by/starscream (these guys are astoundingly, ridiculously good and blazing through uncharted chiptunes territory)

Also, if you like that kind of thing, check out Anamanaguchi: http://www.8bitpeoples.com/discography/by/anamanaguchi (though their Dawn Metropolis album is better, though not as free)

I wonder how Christine Love (Digital's creator) managed to licence such great tunes (though I suppose when you have a game like Digital you have to fight the chiptune artists off with a pointy stick)

BlackShips: I would probably advertise this more as InterFic going in the direction of a hacker game than an Uplink-style game with a well-done story. :P It's a fine offering, I'm wondering what else the dev has gotten up to ...

Yeah, true.

This is the first game offering from the dev that I'm aware of. She writes stories mostly.

I live, breathe and eat that stuff, mostly C64 and NES. I find them far less distracting to work to because of having no lyrics and the melodies are strong. You know how people get square eyes from watching too much telly or playing too many games? I have square ears too. True story.

Totally, though only recently started trawling for modern chiptunes - for a good long while remix sites like remix.kewd.org (http://remix.kwed.org/) has been supplying most of my geek tjoon love, but I've deffo been bopping along to the two albums you posted up earlier. Really sweet stuff.

List of common misconceptions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_common_misconceptions)

There is no single theory that satisfactorily explains myopia?in particular, studies show that so-called eyestrain from close reading and computer games can lead to myopia, but the underlying physiologic mechanism is poorly understood. There is also no evidence that reading in dim light or sitting close to a television causes vision to deteriorate

Kudos for the cool 8bit links!
