New version released: v1.3
A few bug fixes were implemented:
- Major bug: You cant survive forever anymore by killing all the evil blocks, it increases the level by one and starts from one again.
A level system has been added as well to improve the challenge over time.
The mines colour has been changed so they are more viewable.

Game Name: Runaway
Aim:
To avoid the corrupt squares to preserve your squares life. Your score is saved and you can try beat your personal high score.

Gameplay:
Left clicking deploys a mine, which takes 5 hits, right clicking deploys a smaller mine, taking 1 hit.
Spacebar deploys a super mine, which clears out a large chunk of megamen, and can take infinite hits, but only lasts a few seconds.

To place a small mine there has to be at least 15 enemies on the screen, these mines decrease your score by 5.
To place a standard mine, you need to have firing permission. You can check your firing permission in the top left corner, but for ease, the text will go red when you can use these.
Standard mines decrease score by 1 only, and take down your available shots by one.
To place a super mine, you have to wait for firing permission and cost 20 shots, and 50 score.

Small mines are unlimited, but you can only place them if there are 15 or more corrupt squares after you.
Large mines you start with 10 shots, and every 100 steps in the game time, you get 5 more, in the end giving you a total of 135 of them. (you stop gaining ammo at step 2500)

Controls:
Move the mouse to move your square.
Left Click starts the game when at the menu, and places a large mine when in game.
Right click deploys a small mine.
Spacebar deploys a super mine.

Warning: Music in v1.1 is possibly loud, in v1.3 its temporarily removed.

Interesting little game...

I have always also toyed with a "chasing" idea like this.

Some suggestions:

-Make the mines clearer. I kept confusing it for my tail. :P

-Its difficult to check your info while you are running from the squares. Dunno how to fix that though.

P.S. Like the music though.

thanks, Im working on fixing it up a bit, make it more efficient and balanced.

and about the music, I found some random loops, and I still find it monotonous, Im going to make my own using Fruit Loops though at some stage.

Fruity loops is great to create your own game sound effects. I did a 5min rush job for my comp 15 entry. Those of you that played it would realise how old school it sounds..like a tv game but i guess it suits the game i made, well thats what my friends tell me. Runaway is cool. It reminds me of the first "game" in my delphi book. You had to chase a button but you could never get it.
