Things look a little light this month, what with it being a traditionally quiet month. Any ideas are welcome. It's a good time to experiment with something new.
Deadline this month is Sunday 1 February.

Something Game.Dev. What haven't we done? Whodunnit, perhaps, or one of my games? (LionsInnards)
Cortex Command's (http://www.datarealms.com/) come a long way since its first beta release. Perhaps it's time we give it a look? (SkinkLizzard)
Anything else fun looking. I'm sure there was something else floating around that could work, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was.

Consider it done, sah.
I'll finalize the details and I might have one or two not so blurry pictures to include.
What is your word limit? Since, at present, the word count stands at 950 :p (with the background info on the companies and who exactly I spoke to (which can be omitted)

I'll give Spelunky a look. Whodunnit too, but if you want me to do one of yours that's fine, just pick one for me.

I usually look at around 1200 for features. If you can't get that, 950 should be okay.

Month needs moar design articles, IMHO.
Is it appropriate (since you seem to want something Flashy) if I do a postmortem-ishy thing on my first Flash project? Bear in mind that this article would have minimal game content -- more like a waffle about Actionscript as a tool for game development as opposed to other stuff. Looking at features. Basic structure. Pros/Cons. And explaining these in context of an actual prototype that I attempted to build with it.
That's the only sorta Flash stuff I deem worthy of writing about at the moment. What I'm really hoping to do soon is explore Flash on cellphones for a bit, then write more about THAT once I've got something puttering around on my mobile. I think that would interest readers, and the good old mobile articles are in sore need of a resurrection, even if it comes with discussing a different tool.
Oh, and I'll assist with the IGF roundup.
Oh, and I'll have a look at Spelunky.
Oh, and Belgium.

Sounds perfect. We've had lots of game designy postmortems recently, one based slightly more on a certain technology would be welcome. Mobile sounds like a good region to move back into too. Things are happening around there, and we haven't really covered it for ages.

Oh, hey, totally just noticed that LionsInnards called dibs on Spelunky first.
I'm thinking, though, that I'll throw in another opinion (sic) and a super secret bonus unlock article if I get around to the latter.

You might want to have a look for new versions of that. It's always being improved. Also, it wouldn't be fair to call it a review either. It's still incomplete, so make sure you bear that in mind.

Nandrew, I got a lump of schoolwork today, you can have the Spelunky review if you still want it.

Right, traditional reminder time. Deadline is tomorrow, so please has stuffs in by then. Thanks :)
Also, it appears the first page of this thread is dead and broken, but I trust everyone is aware of what they need to submit and what has been received. If not, please ask me or reply here.
