Hey guys!

Just to say that Dev.Mag 18 is looking good in quite a few ways. First of all, I've done my best to take into account the feedback made by some individuals -- we'll be seeing these changes put to further effect as more editions come along and we ease towards the new ideas.

Secondly, I'm glad to see that others have taken suggestions to heart as well: it certainly shows in the content submitted this month.

Thirdly, the wait (oh, man, it's late this month >.< ) should end up being well worth it -- for some inexplicable reason, the magazine has just topped 40 pages again. That's as big as the rAge edition, and I didn't even put in all the submitted content this month. Moreover, I'm *still* waiting for some time-sensitive content to put in *besides* that, so it could swell even further.

Which brings me to the issue of the release date. Because multiple sources are requesting that I hold out on this mag's release so that additional info can be put in, I've decided to pin the distro of Dev.Mag 18 to start on Friday evening. Sorry about this, folks -- I know it's pushing a few more days onto an already rather late mag, but there's a few time-sensitive bits of info which are collectively indispensable for this month's edition, and I'd like to appeal to as many of those as possible.

Thanks for your patience. I don't like the delay myself, but I've weighed up the pros and cons and decided that ultimately it's in the interest of readers.

I'll be setting up a long-overdue Issue 19 prep thread as well. I hope you've all kept in mind this month's 21st deadline that I mentioned in the Issue 18 prep thread, and have been working accordingly.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next prep thread ...
