If anyone has, knows where or can make generic people animations for use in Adventure Game Studio (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/) please let me know.
While graphics are not the most important part when proto-typing, having something that looks respectably human does help making games with it easier.
I'm just looking for ordinary men, women and children (no aliens, personifications or extreme beings).
Thanks in advance

Have you considered using Poser or Daz Studio for people animations?

while excavating the AGS forums I found Charas (http://charas-project.net/) (The online resouce generators) which allows you to dynamically build a character, based on templates submitted by users. This then generates a sprite sheet which you can cut up and paste into AGS (and there's even a tutorial (http://charas-project.net/docs.php?lang=en) for loading them into GameMaker!).
Admittedly it's not great, but it's good enough to get going with. Because you only get 3 sprites per direction I repeat the middle one to get better, more fluid, movement.

Oh, before I forget; on the Charas main page click on Charset under the Google search at the top. There is also a Faceset (which might be useful in dialog screens, I haven't tried) and a BattleCharset with sprites for punching, being hit and dead.

Hey Cairnswm! I have used Poser before but it's overly complicated processn for my simple requirements. I don't know Daz Studio but I think you did give it to me at one point. Charas suits me for the time being though, just so I can get my idea out.

I've used charas myself on several occasions. It's a neat little program. The online version seems to have a bit more features than the offline version, though,
