First up, issue 22 is still on its way and should be ready for release soon enough. Nandrew is working on it as I type this, and it it'll be out soon.

Unfortunately, and as some of you already know, issue 22 will likely be the last issue that our beloved editor will be involved in as leader. Due to personal issues, Nandrew has decided to resign as editor of Dev.Mag; he has elected me, if nobody has any objections to this, to take his place.

Now this thread serves two major purposes. Firstly, to inform everyone about that change, and, secondly, to assure everyone that this change will not affect the future of the magazine. It's still our magazine and it's come way to far for us to let an unfortunate event such as this impact its survival.

To fill this gaping void, I've enlisted two familiar faces to assist in monthly production:

Firstly, Q-Man has agreed to take on the time-consuming task of doing our page layouts, and already has quite some experience in doing this, both from PressX and his varsity newspaper. This is what took Nandrew and I the most time in the past, and having someone dedicated to the task will help greatly to normalize our release schedule again. A second designer to help share the load will also be appreciated, if we can find someone willing.

Secondly, NTH has kindly volunteered to serve as copy editor, and I'm also looking to him as a potential candidate for new deputy editor. NTH has already written numerous quality articles for Dev.Mag in the past, and also has valuable experience as a copy editor.

There's also a public request for one more helper: I'd greatly appreciate it if we could have someone who will be our dedicated newsgatherer. Someone to trawl the web and keep an eye out for interesting news snippets as well as potential review/interview material. All this will likely be collated into a thread, and it'll help increase our presense here on the forums which has been somewhat lacking.

Another thing that I'd like to introduce (thanks NTH) is a regular meeting after the release of every issue, involving the most prolific writers and the editorial staff, so that we can discuss direction for the next issue. I feel it's about time that get everyone here a little more involved in the magazine, and I think this is a great way to make everyone realise that they're also valuable.

Finally, I want to take this opportunity to personally thank everyone who has been involved in Dev.Mag over the years (it's still weird to say that in plural), and that I sincerely hope we can keep going from strength to strength as we have done.

I'm cool! Gogo Dev.Mag!

Thanks Nandrew for taking Dev.Mag under your wing and growing it stupendously much!

I'm worrying my use as a Dev.Mag writer lately as I have been pretty much stagnating in the game dev department. Hopefully I can keep my act together! I love writing for Dev.Mag. :)

Nandrew's ditching us? :(

Nah, it's understandable, what with his hectic studies and all. Dev.mag lives on under solid leadership, that's all that matters. ;)
