Microsoft has outdone themselves. Along with the XNA team and other input from great people, a lot of information from current titles, how they managed to do certain things, things to watch out for in games, tons of info.

Each talk is between 20 - 50 mb (some 70mb) and they are worth hearing. Each one comes with a slide show and each has TONS of useful information about how games go about what they do, in a manageable way.

There are some really really helpful things for indie devs, ESPECIALLY using XNA, not exclusivley. Also, there is a ton of great info if your game is aimed at DBP, Xbox Live, and other xna release platforms (like what features the api exposes making things easier).

The content pipeline information is crucial for an xna developer (if you are inclined) and its really really good information about the formats, how it uses them, what it does with them and what you can do with them.

Well worth the download :)

well if you are going to do a dvd, I have offline installs for xna, visual studio and a bunch of other free tools, and _IF_ you want I can ask nicely and get all the XNA GameFest vids for it aswel.. I already have 12 or 13 because its what I asked for, and soon as I have it off the DVD I'll list what all it is.

EDIT:
ok, I hear that the personI got it from didnt have time to get all of what I asked for, but here is what I have so far:
- Advanced debugging techniques with visual studio
- Beauty from the beast
- blowing sh1t up the bungie way
- building worlds with the content pipeline
- developing hit games for XBLA
- Next-Gen Content Pipelines - A Study of 1st Party Titles
- Procedural Fire and Procedural Trees in a Virtual World
- Whats New in XNA Game Studio 3.0
- Xbox Textures Formats Conversion Fetching and Performance

Just note that its what I thought sounded interesting and I skipped tons of ones that didnt seem applicable yet.

OK i have all the relevant ones already, thats not a problem. (note my roommate has uncapped 4mb internet at work) so i have that, latest XNA builds, Latest VS2008 Express iso, and tons of videos, slideshows and videos.

If we are going for a DVD, we need a DVD admin person, to manage who gets what and when, and perhaps only make it available from saturday , so there is time to write it. unless you can get it before hand to someone somewhere? we can also setup a pc(im assuming there is one) with the dvd iso and or files on, and then any wanter of goods can bring a flash/hardrive/laptop/blank disc and it can go a lot smoother for the organiser of this commodity.

Its a great idea, but we need a pool of what to put on and what to leave.

I think :

Latest Engines are neat to have (for cappers)
Irrlicht, panda, xna, ogre, horde all those should be around i think.

Resources
Audio, video, slideshows, images, tutorials, links, like before

Free games
These are always win

Our games
seeing what the community can and has done (ranging from day one to current) is awesome.i wish i had it too.

2 copies of the internet
A must.

Id not say no:) iv got all mobile, xna, irrlicht and a bunch of other engines up to date...so maybe we (me and someone like you or other influential party) can compile a list of what would be win to put on and whether a high tech c++ graphics only engine is helpful etc... so we can cover from beginner to advanced while fitting in under 4 gb... Ill mail you a list of what i have already, and what i can get in the next week(thanks 4mb uncapped) and then we can compile it onto an iso format, burnable at will and ill burn a good handful before hand as well?

Ideas community, lets hear them!
Edit : wait, adding a new thread so look for it instead.
