I am definitely going to get stuck into this and Unity tonight. Is there a decent sized XNA community in South Africa, more specifically JHB?

Most of us here on these forums have at least dabbled in XNA, we also have a tutorial up on DevMag ( http://devmag.org.za/2011/03/08/starting-small-xna-toolkit-guide/ ) for the basics that you can read.

The community would be bigger if we had indie games, but with us getting live it is hopefully on the way.

Well I've added DevMag to my feed reader now as well thanks! Installing XNA as we speak, hopefully it plays nicely with VS2010 Ultimate

Update: Sweet mother of all things programming related! I am loving this tutorial, almost 50% through and I still understand exactly whats happening. At the point of adding enemies now. I cannot believe I haven't gotten into this sooner!

Yeah, I like how they've done it too. I was also referred to a similar series: http://bit.ly/gmivLx
