Hey this is my new game called Ninja slof. At the moment its in a VERY early stage. The reason I put it up here this early on is to get some fresh ideas from you guys and maybe some help with my Sprites. (I am having problems with making them walk, PM me for more details if you can help thanks.)

Other:
There is a problem with the sprites its flickers the whole time its some problem with delphi but I am reading a tutorial hopefully i'll get it fixed soon.

Hi. I played your game and I think it has potential. I think you need to make the combat more advanced though, at the moment it just seems like I need to walk forward and then mash the attack button. Even if you just added some shifting forwards and backwards then it would add a good way to dodge attacks and possibly also shifting in for a sudden attack. Also, maybe if both sides attack at the same time, their swords hit each other and nobody gets hurt. Also, it would add more complexity if you could attack high or low, possibly trying to get around the opponent's sword.

Besides implementing what Agrajag sugggests can I also add that you should give the enemy an attack routine rather than just attacking repeatedly as they get near to you. Let them attack, block, jump back, drop their guard or whatever in a repeated pattern that the player can anticipate and strike back.

Mega Man is the epitome of enemies following a sequence and just look at how the enemies act in Double Dragon.
