I absolutely love the Jazz Jackrabbit idea...
OK, so dislekcia said he/she/it would create a thread for me... I'm working on making Prehistorik into a FPS. You can find Prehistorik at Abandonia. It was an addictive side-scroller.
Isn't anybody interested in making a Sokoban -type game?? Those were really fun...

Welcome :)
So, how are you going to produce an FPS in a month? Hope you're going to be going the mod route and that this isn't the first time you've done something like this. FPS games are rather complex and have that wonderful "I'm going to code my own engine" trap... GL!

;) Theres always unity for rapid FPS-ing. Although, its an interesting concept , prehistorik is cool. How are you going to map the two game types?

Cool idea, this made me wonder if you only use a melee weapon in a fps, is it actually a fps since there is no shooting involved? But go for it, hats off to you if you actually finish in time.

:) Zenoclash is considered a FPS so to speak and it is 75% melee

OK, so I looked at the FPS tutorial for game maker... not really what I had in mind. Stick to 2D games with that program. I spent the last week or what getting the FPS creator up and running, and I created my world. It has no player or characters in it yet, but I'll get to it soon.
OK, so I'm getting ready to upload what I've created soon. Be on the lookout for the link.
