[Every week, IndieGames.com: The Weblog editor Tim W. will be summing up some of the top free-to-download and commercial indie games from the last seven days, as well as any notable features on his sister 'state of indie' weblog.]

The reason I mention it here is because one of this weeks picks "Loot" is made in GameMaker.

Wouldn't it be cool to see a title from Game.Dev post on Gamasutra.

Actually, two of this week's picks are made in GM. The other is Jesse Venbrux's "Deaths". But yeah, that would be cool. It also isn't too far-fetched, considering all the gems this community's produced. Roach Toaster, Cyberworkz, Glyph Hunter, National Defense, The Adventures Of Dislekcia, Killer Worm, and Cartesian Chaos, to name but the few that come to the mind of a not-as-active-here-as-I'd like-to-be member.

Indeed. In fact many of Game.Dev's games should need more exposure imho. Just thinking about those games reminds of the awesome it was.

Any exposure will be awesome. Thats the bottom line, we have more than enough amazing devers that can dev something to rock the Indie world.

yea we just need more team work and completion ;D im glad to see more people working in teams lately though, it adds a certain dynamic that srsly boosts the game and the completion of games i think. i dont think it was missing, just not as prevelant (maybe im crazy, too)

Haha yeah teams are awesome.. problem is that sometimes life distracts some of the members of the team, and it ends up delaying/canceling projects.

This has happened to me countless times, and boy does it suck making something that never gets used. Especially when you spend hours on it.

Anyway I have worked on about 3 unreleased adventures animation that never got released/completed.... :( really annoying, one is still in the works though.
