Ok people, new threads here should preferably all be over on Make Games (http://www.makegamesSA.com) - Obviously I want to keep Game.Dev as a resource for reference (I would really like that database el people in charge, pls?) but the main activity locally should all be in the same place now.

Let's make it awesome!

Ball's been in your court for months.

The last I heard from you on the subject was this

You said to mail you in the new week to remind you about ripping out the Game.Dev posts so that the subforum could go away.

to which my reply was this

Righto. I know that originally FuzzySpoon had plans for a script or something that I'd need to run in order to extract the database. All I need is that script, then I'll run it, it'll dump the subforum in an sql file or something and I give that file to you. Once that's done, I'll suspend the subforum to avoid any new info. Then all you need to do is give me the url of the new location for game.dev or whatever it'll be called, and I'll set up a redirect from the old forum to your new one, which I'll keep for six months or so to clean up any stragglers.

Best of luck, by the way. It's good to see a united front for local game devs and I really hope that we see some cool stuff coming from it all.

You mean ball's been in Fuzzy's court ;)

Thanks, I'll get back onto bothering him. I might email you asking for some info on the DB layout if I need to whip up a script manually and I can't find vBulletin support info on the net. You guys haven't done anything hectic with the DB logic like custom formats, have you?

I have a few questions.
What is it?
How can i use it?
What can i expect?
Is it mostly unity users?

It's a game development community. Most people who used to post here have moved there :)
You use it the same way you would any other forum... Posting in MakeGames implies that, y'know, you're trying to make games.
Constructive criticism, tough questions, friendly people, fun prototypes, community meetups, etc.
No. Although I don't see what difference that makes either way - it's mostly human beings (with one or two notable exceptions).
