Hi Everyone,

Because of the hack attempts on the FileCloset website we are unable to download most of your entries; making judging impossible.

Please can I appeal to all those who've submitted entries to mirror their entries on another site and update their forum posts for us to download. If you are having a problem finding a site to host your game PM dislekcia or myself to send it directly to us.

I apologise for the long delay in judging and for the inconvenience of having to mirror.

One has to wonder what depths of low self-esteem would cause some kid to hack the upload site of a game development community. I don't understand hackers...

www.box.net
It's what I use. It seems to be reliable, but I've added another mirror for Cow's Quest anyway.

Look at what they say here:

News

Were throwing files (Less than 10 hits, and they are in the last 2 sets of files, so if you uploaded a file within the past ~4-5 months it will still be here) overboard. Were having lots of problems and we are eliminating files.

Sourceforge, anyone?

(btw-are uploads to sf svn only?)

Sourceforge would be great if you had an on going project with multiple team members; I think it's a bit overkill for sharing a game. Secondly, their policies are all open source so you can't have private files while you're working on your project.

Not that I can see at the moment. There might be some work around, but not one that I can see. It doesn't matter too much though, does it? It just means that the person downloading the file gets to see the name and size of the file before downloading. Their site isn't horribly cluttered with pictures like some are. If you want to see what it looks like, here's the link to download Cow's Quest from box.net: http://www.box.net/shared/03ru6kt5k8

I suppose it doesnt make that much difference, its just a bit more convenient for the person trying to download
