Has anyone considered releasing a game on Big Fish Games? Just wondering out of interest?

I never knew you could do that. My dad enjoys some of their games though...seen him playing "prime suspects" recently. I'll check out their site some time.

I've been browsing through a lot of portals to see what they are like.
BigFish Games is huge. You "can" release your game there, but there are 2 negative side effects. 1) You don't get the whole cut for your game. 2) you are not that in "tune" with your player base.
But, the positive outweigh the negative by far! You get money and "eyes" you would not have gotten otherwise.
I just don't think my Roach Toaster 2 is the correct audience though. They mostly have casual games.

I posted this actually thinking about your Roach Toaster, but yes, I do agree that this isn't the best for roach toaster, maybe you could find another portal with more action based games?

After I release it myself (on my own site) and get rid of bugs that I couldn't niggle out during beta and it is all pretty much finished (with some useful updates) I will approach portals for non-exclusive publishing. I will go to them all even Bigfish.

is a decent portal for alternative games.
So yeah. :)

Ahh, the irony of a game about bugs having bugs. What did you expect? ;)

Haha man, you don't know how many times I've cracked that joke. And it never gets old (for me).

As Duke Nukem said, "There will be no bugs in this game."

Wow. Thanks for the link. This will be very useful. I was actually reading about game publishing options on the Garage Games and Popcap websites awhile back. So this is really cool. :)
