After chatting to Dislekcia, I've decided to upload games that I've worked on that aren't complete but are polished enough to share. All of these are made in GameMaker and the download includes: the EXE and external resources, readme.txt and the GM files.

Please feel free to use and abuse any code you find useful

I would *LOVE* to finish these games given the chance. And when Game.Dev runs another polish competition maybe I will.

EFA and Spellcaster were originally going to be Comp entries. EFA unfortunately didn't qualify because it used copyrighted animations so Adventure Quest was submitted instead. I can't remember why Spellcaster didn't make it.

On a special note: All other artwork in EFA is accredited to Geoff Burrows

In UFO, did you write luminaire? I quite like that lighting :)

EFA seems quite awesome and I hope you do finish it. As for colony, my colony sucks, it keeps running away from me lol.

yeah, UFO does use luminaire, but I'd recommend using Phoenix LS which is the latest version

Hehe. good old EFA. Oh how it changed over the course of a single weekend (I still have nightmares :P).

And oh what it started! I really should fix the bug I found this morning and release it regardless of the ripped graphics. It deserves recognition

Those are some cool prototypes, Fengoi. ^_^

You have some good gameplay concepts, I believe, and some nice effects. I'm particularly fond of UFO's flashlight effect (that works very well), and, as should be of little surprise to those who know me, of Spellcaster's concept and gesture interface.

On the topic of Spellcaster, I would very much like to see that continued, including the inclusion of level or scenario goals, more elaborate gestures, and the ability to chain gestures to form more complex - and powerful - goals.

And more special effects. Lots and lots of pretty spell effects...

*ahem* Anyway, moving on...

Epic Fantasy Adventure's sprites aren't... aren't from Golden Axe, are they...? *looks at the sprites with nostalgic eyes* 0_0

Nice! I have to admit, SpellCaster in particular is something I'm keen to peek under the hood of. :)

Fair enough - I mentioned it only out of nostalgia in this case, as I recall. ^_^
