Anyone looking to enter Dream.Build.Play. or just mess around with XNA ususally has a bit of trouble starting out, since there is so much stuff you can do in XNA .... it can get a little daunting.
I found a really nice set of XNA tutorials (http://www.riemers.net/eng/Tutorials/XNA/Csharp/series1.php), and by the end of the second tutorial, i have an xwing flying around a city, shooting spheres !
Anyone looking at getting into XNA should check this out.

Wooo awesome, I've been on the lookout for a decent getting started in XNA tutorial ever since XNAtutorial.com died.
Thanks!

What's preventing you at the moment, if I may ask? Just cap?
(And you're more or less correct on the name - "Visual Studio" is two words, and "Express" and "2005" are the other way around, if I may nitpick. ;P)
Also it was opn one of the NAG dvds...

Umm, I dont have my dvds with me so I cant look, but I can get back to you by next afternoon.
All in all XNA + VS2005EE is +- 150mb though.
Ima quickly add all my XNA resources to the resources thread + this link.

I still have sickening quantities of free VS2005 disks that Fengol handed to me at rAge last year. If you can come up with a way for me to get them to you, I'd be glad to rid myself of them help you out.

That's probably VS Express for everything... You only need Visual C# Express for XNA.

I think it's 450mb including the documentation. Offline docs are hueg.

A quick search with the ever handy NAG CD Database reveals that Visual C# 2005 Express Edition is on the December 2006 DVD.
Hope that helps.
If I remember correctly, the december DVD only had the 4mb installer that downloads the actual installed files when you run it

I got it! I just completed Chapter one(The very beginning). I'm taking my time with this since it's the first time I actually code a game without the UI(Gamemaker) thing. I never thought Programming could be so fun. :)
Bonezman: yes and no. You can get a full installerin iso form, or the web install
