Hi there, today I discovered that Blender 3D has a Game Engine and took a tutorial on how to make a game(with physics) and have completed it using some of my 3D models I've been making as of late. If you could be so kind, I need some testers please. Tell me what you think.

game1.rar - 20.27MB (http://www.zshare.net/download/61113724301feec1/)

PS: the phone nr is a dud. :)

Might check this out later (The file seems a bit large for my comfort).

What I did want to say is: I also "discovered" it some time ago, but just followed a tutorial and left it at that. The awesome thing about it is the physics is extremely easy and very modular, and the logic is extremely easy to "code". I'm just not sure how to get into more detail with it (how to use python in conjunction with the engine)

Downloading, will give feedback once I have played through it

There isn't really anything to "play through" it's just a test platform with a toy train, a sign and a small red robot. you drive the train around and that's about it.

You can call it an alpha version for my new game. Which brings me to a question I can't seem to answer for myself:

Which one sounds better? Toy train Carnage, or Toy train destruction?

There should be tutorials on the blender website, I think. :)

edit: you're right, the physics are EXTREMELY easy to use. It's just a few buttons.

Toy Train Carnage sounds better... but it does kind of depend what you're ultimately planning here (destruction sounds like the purpose of the game would be to destroy the train)

And yeah, I've done quite a few Blender tutorials from their site, my most recent Blender project is making the armour of my avatar.

Dude, what tutorials did you use? I'm busy trying to do that snow scene, but whenever I select another layer, whatever object I'm creating goes does not appear!

Any advice (and links to the good tutorials) Please :)

Well, my 'advice' would be not to use Blender for modeling. It's too messy and confusing. Rather use something like Milkshape 3D, it's much easier to use for modeling. I used the 30 day trial, and started using it when 19 days were left and I made a lot of stuff without even using tutorials. I just export from Milkshape and import the model into Blender.

Here are some Milkshape tutorials, although they might be a tad advanced.

lol, actually I'm thinking about making a crashing game. Where you have to crash the toy train and cause as much damage as you can. Although the name is awesome, it wouldn't fit. :)

Also, the initial download should be the only "large" download for this game since the python runtime that comes with it is roughly 30mb in size. The updates to the game -should- be smaller. :)

Did it work Kensei? Did you see all the objects and textures (this was actually what I wanted to test)
