I found this game in a top 50 indie games list:

list:
http://www.indiegames.com/play5.htm

This game is turn-based, has roaches, has breeding and a funny character. Like Roach Toaster, you can never lose, but only restart. I found this game to be very very addictive. I hope this is kinda what other people experience when playing RT. :)

Play any of the DROD games. The downloads is not quite 56k friendly, but give it a go if you can.

DROD is basically a one man game, while RT is a team game. Take a look!

I think that I did play a Deadly Rooms Of Death game once upon a time, but I remember it only hazily...

That list, however, was rather interesting - thank you for linking us to it. ^_^

Specifically I decided to download Cortex Command (http://www.datarealms.com/) (which shows some promise, but in which I have yet to see actual opposition on the part of the computer - unless I'm misinterpreting something, such as the function of the computer player) and Death Worm (http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=279075) (which I've been enjoying even more than Killer Worm which, while visually better, is harder, I find, and doesn't allow you to power through the ground below and burst forth into the open sky to bring down birds and aircraft with your own jaws. >: D)

Galatea (http://www.nickm.com/if/emshort/galatea.html)was very interesting, and very impressive - I definitely recommend it, especially to those with an interest in NPC interaction and AI.

Cortex Command was also featured in this month's NAG... I still have to try it. It looks interesting.

Just you wait until I get around to making "Killer Worm 3" :P
Death Worm is my rival!
(oh yeah, Killer Worm II allowed you to bring down aircrafts with your own jaws. ;))

Death worm was completely inspired by the original Killer Worm on Experimental Gameplay. He said so.

Hmm, mind clarifying where he said that? ;)
(I only remember him saying that he had played Killer Worm, and I'm curious. :P)
