Well, Im undecided as to which game play idea to go for with for this competition, so Ive started throwing prototypes together to get input and decide what to use, the first is Stick Man Wars. The controls are fairly easy to get hold of and there isnt anything spectacular, but has a prototype of destructible terrain I have been planning to write and finally got around to today, so please ignore the problems with it :P

I would appreciate any input on this as I need to make my final decision on my comp 20 entry before the end of the week if possible. :) Im off to start the next prototype, but I will be checking in as often as I remember to.

I like the keyboard and mouse representations although if you're scratching for ideas I'd like to challenge you to explore how to make a statement without using text.

Quake, Street Fighter Command & Conquer and didn't need much text in order for you to play, but I feel we're all losing something if we just make a fighting game without exploring how to give meaning to player actions.

There is a lot more, and there is going to be decent player interaction (i hope), i just need to although i dont want to rush into it if its not going to be my competition entry

Ooh, Scorched-Earth-alike?

It's a good start, I believe, and I rather like your icon-based player instructions - good work. ^_^

The only problem that I think worth noting is that the initial key-icon seems to indicate a particular four keys for player control, while only two seem to actually do anything. Of course, if you have simply yet to implement the use of those two keys, then fair enough. ^_^
