Ooooh, Mage Plate! Mage Plate is actually serious bussiness, except it never gets used or mentioned - and that's actually something I forgot to mention when I was talking about how silly the Gobbo Sorc of Mystera can get. I never wrote down what it looks like whent you OPTIMIZE it. By which I mean start it off with Orb of Zot and Score a Mage Plate off a thined out Quest Item Pool.

This talk about the Mage Plate reminded me of Gnome Assassins. Are they considered a special combo? Is it the Mage Plate that makes them good?

Or it's just an outdated info on the wiki.

Mage Plate used to be twice as strong as it is now. Still super-good for assassins having +5 mana given they don't need to fight anyway. Old school assassins needed more mana to leverage broken-mcbroke apheelsik. And they'd take Flames. And then you'd go Mystera to cheapen your poisoning.
