@Tinker: Nice! Does initial difficulty get factored into account? I mean like Grimm's Grotto has higher creep scaling so VT would make it even harder right? That would make your win even more awesome, :)

So, here's the "legit" attempt that I promised. Initially tried Orc Monk in Eastern Tundra but Count Blahblah just had too much health for me to get through.

Got lucky with this one. Taurog is pretty much useful for Monk, and Dracul for the health pools. Took resists from both to max resists at 75% (though there was a last shop that I just did not discover until after the boss that had the Tower Shield so that 40 piety could have went into more Sanguine levels with Dracul. Can't complain much with so much good RNG).

There was also Yendor which I managed to buy and use (though not really necessary since I got so many bloodpools and health potions left). This was made possible by an early Gloves of Midas. Needless to say, Balanced Dagger is one of the best items you can get for such a challenge.

Yeah, and also the most generous Sub in terms of blackspace, the gigantic one with a hidden enemy that you can "pull" out with a Wonafyt. Already converted my Lemissi by the time I found it but what could be used was already more than enough.

And Halpmeh too, great for the monk and against the boss. Seriously, got too much good RNG for this one.

Just couldn't finish off the last level 7 Bandit (damn!). Otherwise, a pretty "complete" and successful run, :D

Well, after the perfect accidental trial run, I ran into Frank/TS on my second Halfling/Chemist Doubledoom approach. Hasheesh the Soak slapped down Tormented Soul... gradually... then Frank was just too much. Ah well, time to try summat else.

I hope you guys don't mind me being "greedy". Here's another one:

For this, I stupidly repeated the same mistake several times in a row. Specifically, I keep forgetting that I have slow strike from Platemail and always try to use Entanglement to finish up mobs - they go wasted, in the end, I had to slowly regen back to kill them (only used Bysseps and normal regen, Burndayraz was only found at the end of the run, duh! Also, I converted off my Pisorf quite early due to inventory getting crammed).

There was Yin and Yang Sub but I figured it was not worthwhile wasting 2 DPs to get 2 DPs (and close to 0 health after the whole thing vs. still having full health before it).

Early use of Pisorf helped to open up the "Zoo" Sub which gave me more blood pools to use in the end (which was crucial). Iron Man went down to consecutive Cydstepp attacks (my HP together with dmg reduction from Vine form and Platemail was just enough to let me tank a hit at full health, so it was regen back to full, cast Cydstepp, throw 2 attacks, repeat). In the end, I was out of health potions, and blood pools and down to my last DP from Badge of Honour. Iron man still needed roughly 2 hits. I had to fireball him down with my remaining mana potions and glyph-conversion refreshment to get him within 1 hit before activating the DP.

[Tried to do VT normal Gaan-Talet with Vampire, was just too hard, could just barely make it to the second lower level before running out of everything]

@ ~'(^ + ^)'~ : Nice runs! I see you're really getting the hang of this challenge! :) You've been (re-re-)added to HoF!

Regarding difficulty, Yeah, I'm sneaky like that, GG is actually not so much tougher with the VT than without, given it's inherent high difficulty. Though VT gets slapped onto Sub monsters as well, who normally would have "Normal" difficulty stats regardless of Dungeon difficulty.

Now, ticking off each map is preferred, but if someone wants to chime in by re-doing one of the less murderous maps this way, that's also totally cool! :)

@Tinker: Yay! Thanks! :D

Gotta go rest, and hope to see more awesome runs from awesome people when I check back here again, :)

I've gotta stop making attempts and Dragon Isles (so far my best is getting Matron down to 400 HP, so I'm pretty close, although to be fair that one involved a level 1 JJ find) so I can actually land one on the leaderboard :-P
