Berserker. Taurog. Thank me later ;)

At least, that's how I did it. Knowing how to skip as many of the Dragon's minions as you can with the glyphs you get is the only thing you're worrying about.

Or if you don't like Taurog, you can try the same with GG. You barely need any beads to max out MR, you get cleansing, protection and curse wipe by Englightenment. No restriction on Glyph usage. I brought Patches too, whatever he gives is useful.

Thanks for the advice. I had tried with the berserker (since non-Vicious DI with a berserker was the first Vicious dungeon I ever finished) but couldn't manage my curses.

As for using glyphs, the tricks I am aware of are:

* ENDISWAL or a Transmutation Seal to crack the wall at the entrance of the final lair. This bypasses two. I usually prep Transmutation Seal because it feels pretty hopeless if this doesn't happen.

* PISORF knocks the last guard out of the way (and you can use it on the boss too), as does any knockback. Or, now that I'm thinking of it, the Taurog prep. :)

* LEMMISI plus WEYTWUT can skip them all, if you don't mind being cut off from the rest of the dungeon and praying that WEYTWUT breaks that 50% magic resist.

Are there any I'm missing? Typically I've done Transmutation + a Slayer Wand + maybe knockback the last guard. Everything seems good on paper except that dealing with even one 50% PR, cursing Dragon Elite with Taurog-diminished mana sounds horrifying.

Wonnafyt at lvl 10 summons the matron if I remember correctly.

You got most of them; if you get to Level 10 and have Wonafyt and can break that initial rock you can summon the Matron to you and bypass all of the guards (N.B. but you lose the Matron's blackspace as well).

I like taking the Thieves Den subdungeon for a bit of spare blackspace on that one.

By the way, the #1 most difficult part of any Vicious Vicious dungeon is remembering to prep the Vicious Token.

Halfway through. "Wow, this is going smoother than I expec.... oh."

Lol, very true. The worst is when you only find out on the victory screen.

Whew! Got it! Thanks for the encouragement!

I prepped Taurog, but a conversion into Dracul is what pushed me through the end, providing enough health through blood pools to finish off the Matron (and giving me level 10 for first strike against a Dragon Guard). Also, I was horrified to learn that Taurog's prep does NOT make the boss lair Cowardly--but luckily the "blacksmith items" secret subdungeon spawned, along with ENDISWAL, so I had that little leg up.

Next step, I guess, is to do all the Vicious dungeons with the Goat to get that sweet rainbow border. Wish me luck.

Good luck on that and yeah - forgetting to prep the token is a deathtrap before you even enter! That's how vicious vicious vicious is!

On the topic of vicious tokens, any advice for Havendale Bridge? I often find myself either getting shunted by enemies that are too high-levelled for me to kill on the first half or finding issues with being able to take down either boss resource-wise.

Also, while I'm asking for advice: PQI rolled purist Gorgon on the slime pits, and I was wondering what a good approach to take towards completing that task might be.

Though to get back to the initial point of the thread: Rainbow borders now surround every normal and easy dungeon, and I'm working towards getting them to pop up on the initial Hard directional dungeons.
