Funny, I've stopped looking at this thread before I do the daily. Looking at it now and I'm in the same boat as most. Killed Rex easy. Lots of Binlor assistance. The big problem was finding SMM very late and having no way to teleport him out of the corner. I had over 200% knock back but only got to use it on the first shot.

Not winning while reaching level 10 just seems wrong!

Oh, one other thing...I think the wiki page needs an update. The subdungeon description has the wrong name for the Druid, or is that a different sub?

That was close. Last hit possible killed Rex. It ended up being critically important that before I hit Rex for the first time I slammed 8lvl goblin into wall to activate Might. Labyrinth + SMM is pretty hard combination in general.

Funny enough, the Taurog prep can pull SMM out of the corner. That's part of why I got as close as I did. Cowardly is a truly obnoxious trait to deal with as a half-dragon, though, and even if Taurog's Blade is highly valuable, it's hard to recommend putting up with the prep penalty.

Not easy but I managed it. Binlor -> Taurog, Extra Glyphs seems like an obvious safety prep on Labyrinth, and a Weytwut here allowed for a lot of Knockback based self-cannoning and boss snooker with the death protections. A lot of people seem to have prioritised Blue Bead, which is often a good item but doesn't match Extra Glyphs for this class/dungeon imho. Grabbed learning from the sub. Used up all my Blackspace and attainable XP but probably had easily 2 DPs and 2 health potions kicking around at the end.

Didn't make it, even with having a lot of information from this thread. I enjoyed my very brief stay in the top ten for current streak :)

Nothing spectacular today, but looking at the win rate I can be glad I made it out alive! :D

I'm always a bit wary of the Half-Dragon. While it is generally the least gimmicky of the monster classes, it kind of feels like having all eggs in the same basket, so to speak, with knockback being its thing. So if everything lines up nicely, you'll have a blast with the half-dragon, tearing down the place like no tomorrow; however, if things are not so perfect, you'll feel like playing an over-sized guard. So when I fired up the daily and saw it's a half-dragon, I checked out the leaderboard to get a feeling for the winrate and saw it was abysmal. Then I checked the forums and saw all the misfortunes that happened to people, and it all confirmed to me that I ought to play this one a bit more seriously.

Now, the thing is, the way I felt today, I was like, sooner would I chew off my index finger than prep Binlor, and Taurog is again a no-brainer, so I should've prepped both; in the end I prepped neither. I played as a wannabe Binlor Paladin, earning piety to spend it and leveling up when I had no more piety, the only difference versus the paladin was that my resists got wiped each time... Which wasn't much of a biggie as I have found SMM quite early and knew Rex is also physical. I wasted a lot of blackspace early on trying to go for the right angles, plus the sub was blackspaceless, so I kinda ran out of it around L6 or so. Which made me convert everything I didn't need and just jump into the bossfights.

So I used my DPs and potions and Martyr Wraps and Stoneskins and Knockback to finish Rex (it helps a lot to know where he will jump - wiki rules), and slapped SMM whenever I had enough health to get away with it. I squeezed in a level-up too, and made good use of my translocated Fire Heart and purchased a standard issue Platemail just for the SMM slap-fest.

After killing the second boss though I did not have enough resources to completely mop up, so abysmal XP score today, but I guess a win's a win?

Anyway, in case someone is wondering, default altars are: *drumroll* Binlor, Taurog and Mystera.
