Pactmaker (resists) and Platemail let me tank a hit from the zombie boss. CYDSTEPP let me tank a second. The real issue would have been that Bear Mace deals twice as much damage to Boss 1 as it does to Boss 2, but thanks to PISORF also spawning, there was no trouble killing one boss and leaving the second at 1HP for an easy finish. Refreshment let me convert CYDSTEPP when I was ready to go for the damage spike after the corrosion phase was done.

Balanced Dagger was nice, but probably not even necessary. Since only Warlords can really multi-cast CYDSTEPP anyway, Mystera was more of a piety farm for Pactmaker than something I actually made good use of. But no complaints there - I had spare piety from Agnostic's Collar anyway.

If not for Balanced Dagger, Blackspace might've been tight, and I might've needed to buy Spoon or use potions. As it was, it was oddly easygoing for a Rat run. Sensation Stone and open space to knock back the troll made it effortless to get the corrosion CP going.

Good preps:

- With Balanced Dagger, really helps to conserve tiles and push you up high fast enough.
- Agnostic Collar is good for free 30 piety from desecrating Taurog and 50 CP after that.
- Bear Mace needless to say is the Rat's best friend, allowing him to do snooker for kills.

With Cydstepp, it's really good for higher level kills, allowing you to put in much needed corrosion, and then making use of Knockback from your mace or the Pissorf glyph to wreak havoc.

I was at level 7 with 77 HP, and since the bosses were close to each other, I decided to finish them off using knockback/Pissorf. Was tempted to take Mystic Balance since I had 16 mana and that allows 2 casts of Cydstepp at 8 mana each but since I wasn't a Warlord (need 50% HP to cast), I decided against that. Also, Mystic Balance would work against my strategy of using Lemissi to milk all the available tiles and make Pissorf 1 mana more expensive to use.

With Mystic Balance out, I "used up" my piety (down to <10) before taking Consensus and Warrior's Pact (adds HP) from PactMaker. I figured just killing a few mobs would put my HP above the bosses' 78 damage. That basically allowed me to put in 2 hits for corrosion at full health and 1 precast of Cydstepp. So, I basically just use Lemissi to recover and then repeat the process. Dropped both bosses easily with Pissorf.

The rest of the run is just cleaning up all the remaining mobs.

[Had too much Curse stacks on me, so couldn't make use of the Tokoloshe Charms, else, just 1 charm would be enough for me to tank 1 hit at 77 HP. Anyway, PactMaker could be good for Body Pact too I suppose, for resists, if you are not cursed]

Well, that was an unusual Taurog->Mystera switch. Bear Mace, Agnostic's Collar, Extra + Less Glyphs. Knocked the two bosses into each other. Nothing flash if you know the knockback/corrosion interaction.

I felt really bad about last time, when I just played thru a Rat run normally. No XP / Piety topscores today, I went for style points instead: Parched + Miser, and only killed L10 monsters (1st bosskill at L1, of course, no Alchemist Pact shennanigans). ;)

"Thinker", just without the "ache".

The universe loves balance.
My stellar win yesterday is erased by a stupid misclick death from a level 1 popcorn because I was planning too many steps ahead. Got to level 5. Found both bosses. Had 12 or 13 corrosion built up. Lost focus.

Que sera!
