Didn't have high hopes for this. Despite finding Good Glenrick pretty early, still I just missed it by a little. If only the shops
had something more useful like Crystal Ball or Dragon Soul and I am pretty sure this would have been nailed.

Maybe also, I should have bought the Stone Heart or Fire Heart early (didn't buy any of these) when I started with Binlor and perhaps the health and mana "saved" would have allowed me to deal more damage to the second boss. Also, I wasn't lucky enough with my dodges against the final boss, I think it was just 1 or was it 0 dodges. If I had just 1 more dodge, this would have been my day.

What's done is done. Will try another time, :)

[This setup should be doable, since I managed to put in 800+ damage, so a second boss with lower health would have been conquerable. Besides Meat Man and Frank, this Dragon boss should be the one with the third highest HP]

Got a hard dungeon in my sights. First attempt ran into Gobb and less than ideal deities and I just wasn't equipped to burst him down. This challenge so much fun.

I am back again! :) Managed to get it this time, :D

JJ is just such a good god to find here, the boosts and Chaos Avatar (helped removed some of the Berserker boss' magic resistance).
Plus, I was lucky to get Blue Bead, "Zoo" Sub, Zombie Gold Sub and Bludtopowa. So, that allowed me to easily fireball down Tormented One with 2 level-ups (once by my own + another through CA). Didn't bother with the Zombie Gold and the zombies there.
Also made use of Alchemist Pact to get more XP before switching to GG for the final mop-up. If not for a last high level monster (had nothing left to take it down), would also have gotten Unstoppable.

Aaaand I got the bastard. Orc Berserker on Havendale Bridge. Despite a reasonably fortunate second boss (my first run was just killed by Gobb, second I got punished by GG for using poison but otherwise would've been a reliable win against TS), this one was a crazy TO-THE-LAST-HIT tight Binlor->Consensus->Dracul->Scholar's Pact run, and I didn't really expect to squeak it out after an abject lack of low to mid level Druids and Dragons. Having Lemisi and Weytwut let me use Binlor's free Pisorf to shunt the Bridge Troll out of the way, and Lemisi with the Cha Dylan sub was pretty key to the Zin Kibaru fight. Used more or less all of Dracul's stuff except Blood Swell to eke out a last hit. Blackspace was at a premium with the tools and targets I had at the start, so I didn't get as much mileage out of Binlor as I'd have liked (i.e. more or less just the Pisorf and two or three hits on Medusa).

None of my runs had Taurog, who would have been a massive help, but that's the point of being all purist about it.

Grats to Tinker on the Cursed Oasis run btw, certainly the right class for it. I'd say grats to the Berserker Camp person as well but I don't have the fortitude to learn your name ;)

Three of the proper Hard dungeons down.

Matron down to 201 hit points; getting closer. I just need a lucky break to push me over the edge...

Welp, another of the easier Hard dungeons and classes ticked off:

Image

Halfling Transmuter, Halls of Steel

Pretty fortunate and uneventful with the bosses/items available. JJ on the map. Found him lateish but that wasn't actually a big problem. Relatively poor monster selection and a couple of goofs on the CP management side but Wonafyt making life much easier. Lemisi is amazing on this map for a lot of reasons. I got the Pan's Labyrinth sub, used Wonafyt to make the exploration there safe. Crystal Ball was a great find but would've made it without it. No access to secret sub. Could probably have just gone for a Binlor regen fight build instead but that's always less fun than JJ and with the struggle the Halfling Transmuter can have levelling decently while preserving Blackspace I felt JJ was just the safer call. I'm way too conservative with early game potion use.

Anyway, that's the obviously cheeseable things dealt with. I have an idea for dealing with one of the Vicious ones but I think that'll take really lucky god/item finds to work.
