OK, I found part 6, but I don't think I'll be attempting it for a bit, since I don't have much money right now and want to explore the rest of the game more anyhow.
I'm not sure if this is a bug, but investigating a burning dungeon doesn't give you the triple bonus for the trophy, probably because the game reads it as a different dungeon internally.
In any case, I decided to do a run of Ultradoom?! with an Orc Bard, and... wow. What a run. Details in the spoiler, as usual:
Overall the Bard seems like a very fun class to me, quite tinker-esque in nature. I think it mainly hurts from not having any compression seals - since shop items give you all their CP right away, and you get refills from converting items, it's annoying to not be able to mitigate inventory constraints. Bard, similarly to Tinker, has hardly any traits that actually help him in combat, (not a lot of refills and the WONAFYT isn't a particularly strong combat glyph until you reach level 10) but unlike the Tinker he doesn't really have the inventory space to fully leverage his gold. This if anything makes Tikki Tooki even more tempting as you can pay freely for Tribute, not using up any inventory slots.
I'm not very clear on how much restoration you get from converting an item - according to the class traits, it's based on how much gold the item is worth - I'm guessing it refills that % of your bar, since all the items I converted didn't restore more than 2 mana. In a sense, it's a much weaker version of the Rat Monarch's shop refills, but with the upside that you can still make full use of it while buying the item as early as you want. Either way, you'll have a hard time earning more than about 80% of a refill in most maps, which isn't really that significant.
All in all, Bard is a fun class, and Ultradoom?!, while intimidating at first, really is very fun and not that difficult. My strategy was probably overkill, to be honest. I had a great time!
I also played through Bard Bronze. Not much to say here - it's a bronze challenge without much lore, and I cleared it without really paying attention.
