Yeah its really hard... and it doesnt get easier :D
But just so arent THAT disheartened: Killing a boss in the second part may allow shops to be a thing^^

And also I am confused... how do I unlock the bard? I probably should just defeat normal quests and then ask again, but I am so curious^^

You have the right idea when you say “I should just defeat normal quests.” Although the bard isn’t a quest reward like the monster classes, he is found out and about in a subdungeon like all the other extra non-monster classes. The spawn rate is quite high so you should run into him very quickly, although you might not unlock him the first few times you find his subdungeon.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

This gave me a lot of motivation to tackle the Tinker Warmonger quest, which I completed in my third attempt... my play really has improved, and the orb of zot really helped :D

I will explore further :)

And I want to again thank you for all the hard work! This mod really feels like a huge and complete expansion to the standard game. If you ask me, you could sell this!
On that note, do you take donations? I am serious, this is just amazing and I want to contribute!

@Nurator - don't be trying for Warmonger if you want to unlock the Bard, as you HAVE to cast glyphs in order to unlock him.

I got him now :D Also I finished Tinker Warmonger, wasnt that hard :P
I run into this damn subdungeon ALL THE TIME, but never with WONAFYT and WEYTWUT at the same time... used some Transmuter LEMMISI to get it now :D

I hope he now finally lets me see other subdungeons again...^^

On another note, I now try to do the same dungeon with 6 badges... was thinking a goblin assassin with prepped Yendor to get Cheeky, DING Max!, Specialist, Feeling Parched, Unstoppable and Miser.

Any ideas for that?

Oh and by the way, I ran into two bugs today: First, Assassin doesnt overwrite Unstable, which can really easily kill you if you dont pay attention (which you dont if you kill lowerlevel stuff...).
Second, I had a close off subdungeon, see the image: Is that supposed to happen?

@Nurator - That's just an ordinary secret subdungeon. In maps with a lot of walls such as Eastern Tundra or Namtar's Lair it can sometimes be more than 2 tiles from the edge.

Well thematically Assassin shouldn't be overriding Unstable - if you instantly kill something that explodes, you'll still get hurt just the same as if you let it hit you back first.

I don't think Assassin is a good idea for Hidden Workshop. His entire playstyle relies on you killing popcorn easily, and you don't want to be killing popcorn here. Also, I think Vicious is not actually that hard of a badge to get in Hidden Workshop, maybe? Unstoppable is fine to get after you've killed the bosses, Specialist is a no-brainer, DING Max! is going to be easy to get because you get so much bonus EXP off the boss, Parched is easy, and Cheeky is easy.

I'm considering taking an Orc Wizard to just PISORF the two bosses and completely destroy that quest - that'll be very easy since they both have the same half, just knock Lavavein into Goodusa and you don't even have to care about the gimmick and can just level normally. I'm sure you could even do that Vicious AND Curious, to be honest, since as far as I can tell the only thing Curious changes is that Goodusa gains Riposte from you killing monsters and Lavavein gets Berserk. So yeah, that's my game plan, which will net me Vicious, Curious, Cheeky, Specialist, DING! Max, and Unstoppable - or if I find PISORF on the ground I could do it Faithless, too.

@Avatar - I cleared VT Ultradoom?! with a standard Paladin of GG. Here's a video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LjfKMnh3WY
I scummed for GG or Dracul. This run went pretty well. The Paladin is very good at regen fighting so even though I got the 3 fattest bosses, I had no problems regen fighting 2 of them and then spiking down the Firstborn. I would have actually picked Dracul over GG here, because there were no physical resist bosses - however, GG paladin is still very strong and much easier to use than Dracul, so I'm not complaining. The Platemail in particular was a great find that probably won me the run all by itself.

Again, kind of a lucky distribution of bosses, but with GG you can handle physical resists very easily, so really the only thing that could have screwed me was Bleaty, who probably would have cost me the run unless I found a Badge of Honor in the shops or something. The only other way I could think of to deal with him would have been with BURNDAYRAZ, despite his magic resistance.

Oh... OK. So Curious won't actually work, because it doesn't count as being the same dungeon, so you won't get the quest. That's a little annoying. Oh well.

Also I was slightly wrong about what Curious Hidden Workshop does - it also gives Lavavein extra health for every kill you make - this actually is good for the Punchomancer strategy because it makes him an even better cue ball.

@Nurator By chance, do you remember how you did get two platemail in the triple quest? Did you start with one of them prepped or did you find bot of them in shops?
