We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

Actually I agree with you on that - I think being able to convert BYSSEPS probably gives your strategy the edge. I actually COULD have used EM for lots of greenblood, as I had barely touched any of my bloodpools (especially not the ones at the edge of the courtyard). I guess I just never considered how strong corrosion actually is, because in VGT this isn't an option. As for using spare piety to get more CP, the problem I have is that there are only a few gods that you can really afford to lose piety with - Taurog, Mystera, Binlor, and maybe Dracul if you have leftovers after Consensus. With that in mind, Mystera is pretty random and Binlor will only allow you to lose 10 - so most of your losses will have to come from Taurog. Taurog before Binlor means that you can't use the sparkles you haven't opened up with ENDISWAL yet, so unless you got very lucky with magic monster spawns I can't really see how you're able to get 200 CP... maybe with EM in the endgame after Plantation, but you're sacrificing corrosion stacks for that.

I've scouted a couple of EE Vicious but haven't seriously tried any of them yet. I think I'll probably try for Troll Lab first - I just unlocked it and it looks pretty interesting. Since all the enemies have fast regen, it looks like it favors damage spiking classes, which happen to be my favorite to play. Flooded Foundry with a parched Thief looks kind of difficult. I don't really understand how you can navigate this dungeon without something to break walls, because the amount of core stones you get really isn't enough to traverse the dungeon properly.

Aside from the Cursed Cutlass, are there any items left for me to unlock from quests aside from Vicious rewards?

Also, I found a few cool subdungeon items.

Brown Goop particularly interested me. I tried it on a Gorgon for one of the banker quests and ended up with 50% death gaze, allowing me to shred through the 3 highest HP bosses in the boss parade very quickly. The -15% max resist probably stops it from being viable in VGT, though. I'm interested in trying it on a Warlord - since you don't care about resists anyway, a Warlord could really use the extra first strike, I think.

I also found a Soul Sphere (not sure if I mentioned that already). Looks pretty cool, basically just a mage plate but with no downside so it's better for hybrids. I don't think I'd prep it, though, because my caster prep is usually Codex.

Finally I found a Walking Stick, which is basically just a better Bloody Sigil. Isn't there a vicious reward that boosts regeneration as well? These might stack nicely - if you managed to get that and Bloody Sigil, you'd have +3 regen which is pretty monstrous.

Since Everfrost Peak Curious is called "Spider's Curse" I assume that you die after exploring too much, right? Interesting...

There's more to it than just that, but you aren't wrong. At the same time, like other non-vicious curious, if you want to play hard to avoid the gimmick you can also just do that too. Also, in case you were wondering, there very much are lore reasons why Everfrost Peak's curious is that.

As for Monks and frostbite, it's definitely not the worst class for it to happen to. While you will be forced to accumulate more of it as a monk (and the flat nature of its damage addition is effective vs your resists), the regeneration penalty it conveys is near meaningless to a monk. That means as long as you manage it effectively it is actually much less painful for a monk than other classes.

... and just after I thank them for keeping Heretic Gold strategy discussion as spoiler, they stopped doing it.
Well, I managed to not read that either, almost. Something about Mystera...

@shade_of_ox Troll Lab is a good starting point for Vicious. That or one of the two Northern Vicious.

I shall warn you though. If you do beat Troll Lab, please keep the reward item in a locker,
take it for a walk in a minor run if you want, but please avoid using it in any meaningful run.
The reason why I'm asking this is because it is currently bugged, making it waaaaaaay more powerful than what it should be.

So please keep it in his box until the next patch, otherwise it would kinda spoil all the fun.

Also, given all the comments you made about items so far, I'm sure that you will love some of the vicious rewards :-)

Oh, come on, how can you expect me not to use something that's bugged?

Finished The Peak of Fitness with an Orc. Actually it wasn't difficult at all, though I had GG and Dracul spawn, as well as Goat Piety which is super useful here for wiping frostbite. All I prepared was Quicksilver and Whupaz, and I didn't really need them - the boss isn't that strong if you can manage the frostbite properly.
