@srid Fortunately those were just small spoilers about fine details of the run. It would mean very little without the context of the larger spoiled posts even if your read it.

@shade_of_ox: Yeah, getting goat piety is a ridiculously fortunate find since it basically cuts out the gimmick of the dungeon for you, free of meaningful charge. As for the dungeon as a whole, you are correct in assessing it as not too tough. After Oasis Town, it's definitely the second easiest hard as you basically just need to know how to deal with Frostbite to win it.

And I guess we'll have to get that patch out pretty quickly before you use the reward item to demolish literally everything with ease.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

I found a looking glass, which seems really awesome on a half dragon :)

Awesome that you implemented so many cool things!

By the way, why can I click on an arrow next to my locker to see 9 new slots? Is that a new feature? There is a spoon there but I cant access it...

Cleared Frigid Battlefield Purist.

This run was very close. I took an Orc Wizard, a standard Purist build of mine. My gods were Binlor, EM, and Dracul. I found Binlor rather late but still warshipped him for the PISORF and ENDISWAL. I used Stone Skins to hit the Frostbite boss and survive the Physical Resist boss until I ran out of health potions, then I switched to Dracul and took some Blood Tithes and Blood Swells. I had precast CYDSTEPP and ended up having to use my DP and buy a Badge of Honor for a second DP to finish off the two bosses. I was completely out of resources at that point.

By the way, I was right that you need to kill them both in one go, right? The sign next to the start reminded me of the Yin and Yang subdungeon, and them both having No Experience pretty much confirmed my suspicion of this. If this weren't the case, I feel this dungeon would be far too easy. Nice catch on the Protective Blessing - without it I think I could have just killed them both with PISORF without even thinking.

I think what really makes this dungeon is that this is the first time you really have to deal with new enemy types. I don't think there are any vanilla enemies in this dungeon. Also, the Labyrinth-style generation means you're pretty much forced to deal with a lot of enemies you'd want to avoid normally (though with Binlor this wasn't much of an issue). Fortunately, most of the monsters were very easy to deal with for a Wizard - Swampsouls, Sun Priestesses, Forgotten Kinsmen and Soul Suckers all have quite low stats. The only really dangerous enemy here are probably the Freezing Wraiths. Leveling was quite easy because of this, but I wasn't trying very hard (and also wasted a lot of resources before I found Binlor), so I only managed to make level 7 going on 8. I maybe should have gone EM, but I really didn't want to take EM with no PISORF, no ENDISWAL, and labyrinth terrain gen. With more aggressive leveling you can probably make level 9 without using too many resources (and blackspace doesn't matter because you can't regen fight 2 bosses at once, anyway).

I'm not excited to do this with Monk. I think he's gonna have a hard time, between the Weakening boss and the Frostbite. Maybe I'll try taking in the Codex and seeing what I can do with that.

I just want to take a moment to point out how impressive the work going into this mod is.

This is super hardcore and I kinda wish you were working on your own game together. You should :)

I just cleared Frigid Battlefield with a Halfling Priest. I went in Purist because Priest didn't seem like too hard of a class to win with, given the huge amount of potions. I was hoping to level off Soul Suckers.

The run was again, ridiculously close. I had Taurog, PM, and TT, but PM was locked behind a level 9 Swamp Soul and I never was able to get to him. I warshipped Taurog and managed to level to 7 without much trouble, buying the 3 physical gears from him. I could have gotten higher, but there were only 2 high level Soul Suckers, and I didn't want to tangle with Freezing Wraiths because of the unmanagable amount of Curse they give (I already was basically out of popcorn because of the Cursed Cutlass). I bought Cursed Cutlass fairly early on which carried the early game with Skullpicker. Ended up having a lot of trouble with the physical resist boss, but the Cursed Cutlass allowed me to bring his resists to a managable level after I ran out of mana. In the end after using 3 Unstoppable Furies I had to convert a Taurog gear for my last potion - this is actually the first time I have ever had to do this.

I actually like this dungeon a lot! It offers a pretty good variety, and doesn't just keel over to any known strategy that I can think of. I think I'm getting the hang of dealing with labyrinth-style terrain - The Labyrinth and Western Jungle were always my most hated dungeons because of that, but I'm learning to deal with it. :)

I've scouted it. Interesting how Binlor and Titan Guitar are both unusable, it really forces you to play into the theme of the dungeon. I think an Orc Rogue of TT strat is a good idea as the bosses have quite low HP - maybe killing one at level 1 is feasible, after which there shouldn't be any problems with the rest of the run.

Cleared Frigid Battlefield with an Orc Monk. This time I pulled out all the stops, but in the end this was overkill - at the end of the day, this is a hard dungeon and not vicious. All I really needed to win easily was the Codex, especially as Whurrgarbl spawned in the shops. I also found EM and Platemail, which, coupled with PISORF to navigate, made this run a breeze. I was able to fireball Forgotten Kinsmen and take no damage even when I was level 4 and they were level 8 (!) which resulted in very free high level kills. A fun run, but it was a bit too easy. I think I'll try Paladin and Heretic Purist, since they're both such strong classes anyway. I don't think I could beat Monk Purist without a bit of luck, though.

Well, so far I've been doing all the quests with my favorite classes. I probably wouldn't have such an easy time if I tried to do this with, say, a Transmuter.
