Elf Priest in Labyrinth

Whew, I felt this one was slightly tough - but partially self-inflicted by being careless enough to accidentally discover the minotaur at level 6 - sooner than I'd have preferred. The gods and the glyphs weren't exactly what I had in mind for a priest (arguably the worst non-monster class) in the labyrinth, either. Fortunately the preps and Elf work out alright for fireballing everything to death.

I don't mean to argue that GG -> Dracul isn't viable, and that you don't get some decent benefits out of it. It's exactly what I did, and yeah, I soaked a few potion drinking punishments during it. I also used some level 3-5 Protections to strike 3-4 levels higher than me.

Doesn't mean that I'm wrong that Binlor and/or JJ would *vastly* more welcome gods to have on the board.

That was a pretty fun one. The Labyrinth staying a labyrinth was part of that (there was PISORF, so some minor changes were made).

I made a couple of mistakes, which cost me two health potions I would have rather saved for SMM. But Dracul came through with enough healing so it was all good. Dracul isn't so bad for priests... it's not just that health potions only cost 5 piety, but that when you're in healing mode you're also using sanguine and lifesteal which can give you the piety to pay. You just need to make sure you don't screw up the order. Mind you, even if you do leave yourself with no piety available and a potion to drink, the priest has the HP to spend on Dracul's punishment (especially with SMM where you're going to get many hits from that potion).

Eww, this was a sucky DERP! I made it, but I didn't enjoy it too much. I did not get a lot of good leveling kills, because I did not want to expend any resources on leveling, for fear of running out of resources in the end. How very different this run would've been made by an early Fine Sword... Pity that there were no +Damage items in my shop pool.

Now, Elf Priest has both bars quite long, and GG' Protection refills both bars, plus I used the Rock Heart + PISORF combo, so there were some good things today too. I did not want to spend Health Potions on Rex (given his absurd damage), so I just kept knocking him through walls using the discounted PISORF (and used the refilled Health to hit whatever I could).

I went GG->Dracul, but I wonder if it would've been more productive to use GG to land leveling kills, and then go TT and mop up for additional level-up refills? Then again, he probably would've been upset with all that brawling with SMM, so maybe mono-GG or GG->Dracul was really the better option today.
"Thinker", just without the "ache".

*Gorgon in Den of Danger*

That was quite a relaxed daily compared to yesterday's stuff up I had.
