*Dwarf Bloodmage in Cursed Oasis*

I can't help but feel like I did this one all backwards, but it was a lot of fun. Prepped Quest Items, Elite Items, and a translocation seal hoping to swing an expensive item, spawned near the alters for the Glowing Guardian, Dracul, and an amulet of yendor. I gave dracul the middle finger and went with a glowing guardian bloodmage, immediately popping the amulet of yendor, grabbing humilty and some absolutions. Avoiding bloodpools and abusing Imawal until I could ungive Dracul the middle finger, sanguine and bloodswells giving me a big spike for both of the bosses. I largely ignored high level shades as I didn't need the xp anymore and the dracul favor was preferable. I like cursed oasis.

Things were a bit cramped to start. I passed on GG (I did all sorts of unholy things... early on it was poison because that's the first lever that came along). Good idea, I accidentally stepped on a blood pool at least once with a misclick. I also had Yendor (Wicked Guitar and Health Keg were also there), but I saved it for the easy double level catapult to take out the Curse Shade (no skipping the midboss for me today). I went with MA... who is a bit hard on this map to manage, but safer than GG. It got me the boons I needed, even if I was bleeding piety (never got punished). Spent a lot of time on the cursed realm side... which kept me from many things, because I found them a bit late (only used IMAWAL for mana). The Dragon Soul seemed to be working 5/6ths of the time... I kept being unable to get rid of my mana.

I had a lot of fun picking Avatar's Codex with Dwarven Bloodmage out of curiosity since I hadn't before, keeping it the entire time was trying my willpower. Every time I needed to regen mana with blackspace I'd get life stolen and had to reign my fingers away from a misclick. Can't safely fireball Thralls thanks to retaliate, but the codex, mystic balance, bloodpools, piercing wand, they made mincemeat of every high level Shade and the bosses.

Meanwhile, the leaderboard overwhelmingly picks the safer option of Translocate Elite Item gambit.

*Gnome Priest in Northern Desert*

The preps overwhelmingly favor a caster approach, and despite being a priest with mana potions, finding Bludtupowa alongside them means you can down both bosses stupidly early with loads of fireballs. I did Aequitas at 4 but do not think I needed to wait that long. Piercing Wand was a total brainfart because I was thinking it was Rock Garden for some reason, but Mystera's fireball perk greatly helped with the Tower of Goo at level 6. although the tradeoff for Mystera was missing a Battlemage Ring so it wasn't that great.

* Vampire in the Creeplight Ruins *

I figured I wouldn't win this dungeon, not without long thought, but the game outright killed me instead of giving me the satisfaction of losing myself. Didn't realize that the game would choose to position me to consume blackspace when I clicked the lvl9 monster that was clearly marked with a green Win marker after being slowed, regenning it for the smidge of health able to kill me AFTER I already clicked to Win. Boo.

Surprisingly I got top XP yesterday... even though I actually didn't do the goat sacrifice until very near the end (as I wasn't sure if the shaded were drainable, whereas the cultists were definitely providing lots of healing, at the cost of XP). It was fairly straightforward (well for a vampire run on a map with lots of undead), as my preps got me Dwarven Gauntlets near the start, and they got me the HPs to easily deal with the first boss form.

But today,

* Gorgon in Den of Danger *

And like the last few times I've lost a daily, I got sloppy with when it was straightforward and too easy. The misclick this time was that I missed with the mouse and attacked the boss instead of the Goo beside him.

I had fun with basically turning my melee into just deathgaze. Gorgon's racial malus to attack + Mage Plate + Flames boon gave me around 5 damage strikes (eventually it dropped into just 2 damage).

*Goblin Fighter in Hexx Ruins*

After looking at the leaderboards, I'm just realizing how impractical low experience is in this dungeon. There was a really good setup for a low XP kill a while ago since you could acquire the Orb of Zot, but I ruined that run pretty hard. Anybody chiming in for low XP on this map?

*Half-Dragon in Shifting Passages*

Second boss is The Iron Man, so that is potentially problem. I found the Martyr Wraps very late so I didn't get much help from them, annoyingly I got careless during boss fight and walls formed badly in the way when I killed some popcorn, that did cost me one health potion but nothing too bad.

Anyway unsurprisingly pretty bad winrate today. Shifting Passages is pretty difficult if you don't know how to prevent wall forming (admittedly not so bad for Half-Dragon with ENDISWALL), but The Iron Man is very unfavourable boss.

The Dragon has such a great starting phase and knockback that I wasn't so worried about any maze stuff or tough bosses, moreso than I was scared of misclicking Evolvia. I don't remember what gods I started with but I did end with Dracul, and the Golem is easily dispatched if you convert most spells and conserved a nice line of walls to crush them through, but considering how volatile this map is who knows how easy that is. Managed to get pinned by thankfully low level monsters, so I can imagine some people struggled with that. I'm actually more curious that the Changling's don't gain magic resistance, they're such easy targets since they don't adapt to the monster classes!

*Halfing Warlord in Eastern Tundra*

I wish I had the foresight to do low EXP on this map, the only hurdle is that the final boss has a lot of health for a "normal" difficulty dungeon.
