Elf Thief, Ick Swamp

Not my favorite combination. I prefer striker thieves... Elf Thief almost feels like some totally different class with Gnome and Mystera... At any rate, I prefer setups that emphasize the permanent Stabber passive rather than the consumable spike from the potions. I tend to hoard potions, even though it might be better to rush a level with a potion spike - but I hate not having them for the boss...

I had trouble managing blackspace and I did some kind of long regen fights, but it came out ok. Binlor (for Stone Skin), Vamp Blade (for the initial overheal), and Reflex Potion let me get three hits in with minimal exploring before moving on to other resources to finish off Medusa. I still had decent blackspace left for lots-of-s's-man, once I finally killed a couple of upper-mid-level blockages. Martyr Wraps helped some. Stone Heart could've helped more, but there just weren't enough walls to spam it.

Did this one real slow because Ick makes me paranoid and the layout was really less than ideal. I love Elf Thieves, ended up 160HP, >100 attack and 30 mana. Took Viper Ward to help out with weeding. Decided to run it Parched with Binlor -> Tikki Tooki, picked up the agnostic's collar for a free 50 piety. Not especially difficult, I seem to be back at 40th position in the leaderboard. Waiting for the weeding dungeons. Bet the next one's a Goat and I lose

I love Elf Thieves as well, it's one of my favorite combinations for the reasons Tinker listed. It's really amazing playing with 8 glyphs, you're sure to get some awesome combinations. Also it rocks when worshiping MA.

I second that the starting layout was unfriendly, made me fail Cheeky, and it wasn't until lvl 4 I got some decent glyphs to fight with. Lemmisi though was a total life saver, helped me find all the hiding glyphs (hello Burndayraz behind the barbing bush barricade!), pointed me to the altar trio, revealed some boosters... Thief Silver style I hopped around the map to grab my tools with Weytwut to save blackspace. The nice thing about Ick is there are always plants to locate and swap place with.

Went with JJ, destroyed Binlor for instant petition and busted my stats. It was a joyride slaying everything. For fun I restricted myself to killing the bosses pure caster style and parched.
Somebody spilled raspberry juice all over the place!

Played this last night but Ick Swamp left a bad taste in my mouth and I didn't feel like posting at the time. I got stuck at low health and boxed in by plants several times at low levels (over-explored looking for a glyph to start power-leveling) and had to blow some potions to deal with that. Took me quite some time before I found BURNDAYRAZ. In the end, Medusa is a pretty easy boss so I scorched her with a mid-battle level-up, then bought some stuff for conversion fodder to hit 80 piety with JJ for chaos avatar on Itsssama (removing the accumulated weakening and lowering his rather intimidating resistances).

This daily kicked my ass. I couldn't find BURNDAYRAYZ fast enough, and I ended up having to use potions unoptimally, and I finally got caught in a corner between the boss. From the leaderboards, no-one's beaten this one yet though.

22/05/2015 - Halfling Bloodmage in Labyrinth
The presence of JJ in the roster and ENDISWAL on the board made this dungeon much less intimidating than it could have been. I desecrated Earthmother and cleared that up with a burn cure salve to quickly get some boons running and make up for the fact that I couldn't find an attacking glyph. My inability to find any attacking glyph until I'd explored about two thirds of the dungeon really held me back, but Medusa was easy prey once I had found PISORF. I then revealed Rexx and finished him with PISORF as well. I only revealed BURNDAYRAZ towards the very end when I already had things under control. I finished Rexx with 80 piety built up to launch off a chaos avatar and plenty of other resources, so it wasn't nearly as tight as I feared during the early game where I was meandering about without glyphs.

I've said it before, and I'll doubtlessly be saying it in the future: that free WEYTWUT saves you from screws far more often than JJ causes them. Combined with the easy desecration fodder (Chaos Avatar cancels out the desecration penalties for both Mystera and Earthmother, although since I desecrated EM early I used a burn cure salve instead) JJ was just really nice on today's dungeon.

And Wicked Guitar on Labyrinth is just a big bag of nope.
