As long as you're willing to poison/mana burn yourself.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

If you're about to level up anyways, what do you have to lose?

EDIT: The yellow ticks on health bar are wrong when lifesteal is capped by the amount of inflicted damage.

For exemple: a vampire has 50 life steal and does 60 damage; he targets a goo blob (50% physical resist) that does 70 damage. The ticks indicate that the vampire will lose 20 health each round (50 life steal - 70 damage), but in reality he will lose 40, because he will only inflicts 30 damage, capping life steal.

On a side note, it would be cool if you could use a different color for ticks you won't be able to reach alive. For exemple, let's say the goo blob strike first and the vampire has 160 life. The (fixed) ticks would let you think you will only die at the 4th round, when in fact you will die in the 3rd.

The "you get 5x the price for your trophy!" message on the dungeon completion screen when you leave a flaming dungeon appears even if you have no trophy.

EDIT: Transmuters only get 5% conversion boost from destroying a wall with PISORF. Not sure if that's intentional or not. Speaking of which, I'd be much more inclined to test Orc Transmuters if I could reliably find PISORF without scumming forever... (Although honestly I'm not sure how much there is to discover about them. They're really only good for PISORF, and even then I suspect that Wizards outdo them on that front - particularly since Rock Heart + Crystal Ball should let a Wizard cast PISORF for a net cost of 0 MP, I think. Since Wizards are a heck of a lot more versatile anyway, and you can't count on finding PISORF, I'm not really sure what niche Transmuters are supposed to fill right now.)

There's another poison bug that I can't quite figure out. Sometimes a monster that is poisoned won't resume regeneration after being damaged and cured of poison. I think it might be related to fireball / burning damage, or maybe the Assassin's corrosion. It could also be related to blinking. I'm sorry for the lack of specificity but as I've griped previously the beta isn't exactly set up on the player's end for testing discrete interactions. ;)

I've been getting a lot of slowdown recently - which I've never really noticed before. I've mainly been doing Assassin / BLUDTOPOWA/BURNDAYRAZ/APHEELSIK with Mana Leak, and it usually happens very late in the dungeon, so one of those might be triggering it.

I'm increasingly suspicious that it's due to too many particle effects from spells, although I could be wrong. It may be worthwhile to include an option in the menu to turn them off (or reduce in quality); I know I don't really get any benefit from them, so even if there weren't any related slowdown issues I'd probably turn them off just to have a simpler, less busy interface. (No offense, I mean, they're certainly pretty enough, but I'm not playing Desktop Dungeons for the cutting edge graphics, if you know what I mean.)

I'm continually getting the freeze/crashes still. I posted 2 images earlier in this thread. I still don't know what's causing it, but it has become impossible to play because of them...
I play everything in every genre. Send me a message!

Lifesteal restores mana when used with BLUDPOWA. However, as far as I can tell, no other source of healing (e.g. Sorcerer, Fireheart) restores mana in that case.

The amount of mana returned is also weird (I got 3 once), so I don't really know what's going on here. If intended, it could use a clearer tooltip. If unintended, it might make a really nice Vampire or Bloodmage ability...
