Long time since I post here something, but in the meantime I managed to finish the Riposte Puzzle the intended way (I think :D)

And I must say, the boss just doesnt matter AT ALL. I think the easiest way to fix this puzzle is to just remove him and mark every other enemy as bosses. This would solve all problems, the fight against them is quite interesting!

Actually, that's an excellent point! Expect a fix to that effect in the Southern release. Care to post your solution? I suspect you have it, as I agree the fight to level up is quite interesting (downright odd, really), but given my tendency to accidentally allow other solutions I want to confirm yours just to be sure.

Whew, glad to hear the puzzle otherwise functions properly. It was a doozy coming up with a good puzzle for Riposte due to the sheer calculations it creates and the fact that it's the most complex new trait in terms of interactions.

If you want, I can go deeper, maybe I find some more stuff :D

It feels strange to use all items on the low level enemies, but if they are the only remaining it wouldnt be that strange anymore, so I will really like the puzzle then :)

Beat the various quests on Everfrost Peak, as well as used a fairly novel strategy of stacking enough DR to just punch through the boss (prep Platemail with Gobbo to insure lvl. 10, Blacksmith's Shield, lots of Vineform with Paladin). Mostly conquered the Peak with a bunch of Gobbos as to to minimize necessary exploration. I'm imaging the Goblins from the Hobbit movie all descending on that mountain now. (Complete with the Goblin King and his stupid song). The EM + Platemail strat seemed exceptionally good at getting to a high level while preserving blackspace, so even a more moderate form of that strat might prove useful. Otherwise, mostly seeing mages or big spikers conquering the peak. Probably use a Mystera Gnome mage for VT.

I can see what y'all are saying about Frostbite. My Gobbo Crusader run nearly failed b/c of Frostbite stacking too high; total immunity would trivialize the dungeon. Still not sure if that's totally dissimilar from bringing Curse immunity to the Cursed Oasis (maybe not; Cursed Dragon has an actual attack stat, IIRC), but I don't want to argue the point further without actually playing more of the mod now.

Nice! Now let's see how you handle Frigid Battlefield. I think you'll have a harder time cheesing it than this dungeon.

Nice, I used this strategy too :D its just so much fun to beat the boss like this. But did you notice, that the main trait from Platemail is that you are slowed? That means that even lvl 1 popcorn without frozen can pop your stacks, regardless of your armor or not. Still, being completely immune is nice, but a bit over the top for the actual difficulty of the map :D
Please tell us how you beat Frigid Battlefield, I am really interested :)

Trying for EB Curious Goatperson now. So far the farthest I've gotten is the fifth zone.

The problem is that you need Spirit Pact for the boss fight (otherwise you don't stand a chance, I'm not even sure if it's possible WITH Spirit Pact) but Body Pact seems to be necessary for the actual dungeon as the bosses all have an obscene amount of health and damage. No level catapults really hurts, as well.

Tackled Frigid Battlefield first time with Orc Fighter of Binlor -> JJ. Purist was handled with Gnome Magician, found JJ. Labyrinth style map means de-clogging or ENDISWAL are critical. Mages seem to have an easier time leveling. Really painful dungeon, with I think the Labyrinth style layout being the worst aspect. (Deadman's Pass is like this too, just significantly easier). I'm glad to be done with Purist, as I don't think I ever want to do this dungeon without JJ or Binlor.

Platemail is definitely a hard counter to Frostbite. Also seems to counter the Fallen Nagas (100% Deathgaze). Aside from mages or spikers, I don't think I'd consider any prep besides Platemail or Yendor for Frozen Peak.
