Dang, I was hoping we wouldn't have another broken god. What's all this noise about an alchemist/alchemy?
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

Well technically if all deities were redesigned like GG/Dracul with actual useful boons with no downsides and piety costs you actually have to worry about using, then maybe Pactmaker could exist.

Also the Alchemist isn't a new class. Haha, how sad, I thought the Alchemist finally reappears as a class since the early alpha days, but no. He's a new preparation building like the Witch Hut. You have to buy his item in a shop just like how you bought the bazaar scroll to unlock the bazaar.

In fact he currently takes up the same place as the Witch Hut due to a bug. I sure hope that gets fixed soon.

Alchemist Preparations list (building only has 2 levels for now, so maybe there's some more coming)

All of them are usable, small items like the Witch potions.

Compression Seal: Turns 1 item into "small" size. Might be useful when the Tinker shows up or if you REALLY need to squeeze in that one extra item but that kind of relies on shops spawning a lot of good, large items.

Conversion Seal: Next conversion provides 50% more conversion points. Basically an item that gives 50 extra conversion points I suppose, since glyphs are probably the most commonly converted item at 100 points. Unless you prepare the Sensationary Stone or something (Hey, remember that item? Haha, how far it has fallen ever since Orcs and said item were nerfed!)

Transmutation Seal: Changes an item into its gold value (has a line that says Does not work on lead. Probably a joke for now.) Uh, can't really think of a use for this.

Translocation Seal: Steals an item from a shop. Great if you see an Orb of Zot I guess? Currently those two are the most expensive items I think at a 45 gold cost so this preparation basically says "Bring in 45 extra gold."

Yay, saving! And yay, grammar! The description for "quest items" from Bezar says he can "bre" reasoned with, btw.

Were there any speed improvements in this patch? Spamming lemmisi seems a lot smoother than it did this morning. Maybe age has just made me more patient.

On a related note, I've been trying to unlock the crusader for long enough that I'm wondering if I've found a bug somewhere. Haven't found him after ~50 tries, though I have noticed that yin/yang has been appearing a ton (maybe 1/5 dungeons or so). Could it be replacing my crusader subdungeons?

In addition to chaos avatar only giving one level (which I'm not actually sure is a nerf), it also only gives 100 item conversion points. The weirdest thing about this to me is that becoming a chaos avatar doesn't actually change you that much. It's the same with Jehora in general--he just doesn't actually seem all that chaosy (outside of the ridiculously awesome artwork). He doesn't actually give any big swings outside of last chance, and even there, it's not all that exciting with the bad outcome being you lose all your piety (which would've happened anyway). Stuff like the (truly awful) potion abilities seem like the opposite of chaos. If I'm going to worship a chaos god, I don't want a full heal or a 10% damage boost and a level, I want tentacles growing out of my eyeballs. Maybe I die a misshapen wretch of a man; maybe I never worry about my glasses falling off ever again.

What if chaos avatar giving a random class ability or three? There are obviously some imbalanced outcomes, but there are also plenty of clunkers in there. Or a mutate ability that gives you piety in exchange for letting Jehora perform whatever operations on you he feels like at the moment? These are the sort of abilities I might click on even if they weren't good, just to see what would happen.
