I had an interesting one today: vampires can endlessly gain piety with Dracul and Binlor by repeatedly killing Ying/Yang. Due to lifesteal, you will never actually run out of hit points, so you can just keep fighting without end. Normally killing no-XP enemies grants no piety, but I noticed that Binlor actually grants 5 for killing Ying/Yang, while Dracul would grant piety for life-steal and bloodpool drinking. I'd imagine you could probably work in BLUDTUPOWA and also farm Mystera in this way, and if you had a poison attack you could farm Tikki Tooki too.

Fortunately this cannot be chained with the Pactmaker's Warrior's Pact for infinite health (I haven't checked, but as non-XP granting enemies Ying/Yang shouldn't trigger it) but it's still an easy way to get 100 piety with this class from this subdungeon.

But can a Vamp really keep killing them? This subdungeon is probably in for a remake/removal, so that won't be a problem long.

Ying/Yang will each hit you once per battle. You need to nullify that incoming damage, and you get two hits with your lifesteal plus your blood pool. If you're a high-level character, that's child's play. You don't want to attempt this early, but I was walking in as a level 10 and was most amused by the combo.

I'd agree that Ying/Yang should be redone. Such a waste of a subdungeon that takes way too many resources to complete and offers only about 15 tiles worth of regen...

Finally, a use for this useless subdungeon!

My statement wasn't being completely serious but you know, a tiny amount of use is probably still better than "no use"

Yeah, but so much worse that pulling the potion/goo blob one.

Yeah, the subdungeons that give you extra potions are great, and the zombie trap is awesome because of all the exploration space and potential XP available. Ying/Yang by comparison is assured to consume resources for anything but the most powerful adventurer, has basically no exploration tiles available, and the reward is a relatively modest amount of gold. At very minimum, it needs a better reward (a random elite item might be nice; Amulet of Yendor, Orb of Zot, Keg of Mana... those would be worth blowing a few resources to get).

Perhaps a special unique item that you can't locker.
