That's pretty much the perfect Bloodmage setup, especially since Mana Leak won't affect anything in the arena.

Some tips that could have made things even more crazy:

1) Take the first boon from Pactmaker. It heals you to 150% health when you level and gives you the BYSEPPS buff.

2) Convert to GG and take a level of Humility. It temporarily hurts your Fireballs, but gives you extra health and damage.

3) Desecrate TT and Mystera, since they have no drawback if no monsters are spawned. (Unless you have Dodge or Poison strike)

4) Convert to JJ and take petition so that he doesn't hurt you and just throws free piety at you.

Alternatively, if you have a good amount gold, use Pactmaker for Consensus and convert to TT instead. You can get a lot of good boons that way.

WONAFYT is now a relatively cheap way to disable Counter Fireball, provided you're level 10 and have already killed the other bosses. Costs net 3 MP with Mana Leak + Crystal Ball, or 2 MP as a Wizard. Probably better than switching to HALPMEH since you won't be optimized for melee (although the Bloodmage has his bloodpools for that particular boss in the Library).

Very true, I forgot about the Bloodmage's extensive physical capability too.

It's pretty straightforward, really, at least if you're lucky enough to get Halpmeh and Crystal Ball.
Brought Fire Heart as the preparation, with Fireball magnet as well.
Killed the highest level enemies I could on the top floor with Bludtopowa + Fire Heart (that combo is very, very powerful) and barely managed to get to level 10 before going down, having to use some blood pools to finish off some enemies.
Didn't worship any deities in the top floor, since I didn't get very good ones.
On the lower floor, immediately worshiped MA (who gave me 100 piety because of all the magic I had already cast) and got mana leak right away so the bosses wouldn't get the magic resist.
Killed the goblin (I can't remember the name of most bosses, so I'll just refer to them by the monster type) with Bludtopowa + 2 mp Halpmeh + Crystal Ball (insane combo right here) and wraith with fireballs. I don't remember for sure, but I think I used whoopaz on Frank, and finished him off with halpmeh.
And that's pretty much the gist of it, fireball for Bleaty/wraith boss/bandit boss/warlock boss/Kinissch, halpmeh for the others. I had to use a single mana potion (except for some before because of Patches) against the warlock boss, but other than that I usually finished each round with a few tiles to spare.

Elf Bloodmage with Burning Heart and Crystal Ball. I haven't had the privilege of using this combo yet. Let me just drool on the though for a moment (I've been wanting to do this for so long, and on a vicious level like Naga City? Sheer awesomeness)

Yeah, Mystera + HALPMEH + BLUDTUPOWA + crystal ball is an absolutely nuts combo that basically gives you x3 health regeneration. That'd give you the staying power you need, though strictly speaking you don't need to be a bloodmage to do it, it just saves on scumming for one of the required glyphs.

Ah! I forgot about HALPMEH! Also, one nice thing if you get MA and Pactmaker. Immediately take consensus as there is no reason to have over 75 piety with MA and immidiatley Mana Leak.

A pure BURNDAYRAZ Bloodmage could take the matron. I'm sure of it.

Hmm... You could use it to squeeze in an extra mana boon before the bosses spawn.
