If we had a way to prep PISORF or HALPMEH, then Orc and Human wizards respectively would be very useful. But as it stands, if you want to be ready for the general-case scenario, it's Elf or Gnome all the way.

I know, you v=could be a half-elf/gnome/any other race too, getting the mentioned races bonus, while picking any sprite.
