Having the downside for all forced altar spawns be "You cannot convert" might be interesting. Genuine limitation, but in no way makes the prep useless.

Technically this is a tiny buff to paladin, in that he'd get the prep at reduced inconvenience, but likely not a big enough deal to really impact the balance of the class.

Heck yeah! How about just keep the current penalty (while making some less harsh), and make the Altar spawn next to you. Then it's on par with +1 altar.

I was just trying the church prep on Vicious Gaan-Telet with a vampire, and I ended up killing the 5k Horatio without Whupaz and still had 20-25 extra blood pool. Well, OK, since the boss only hit for 75, a 60 lifesteal made it really easy, especially with a 400 health vampire that gets back 65% per blood pool.

Now if only Naga City wasn't restricting access to top floor, it would be interesting (well, not that much, since the actual vampire gameplay is just plain bruteforce; nonetheless it's enjoyable).
