I've been getting Feeling Parched with the Vampire on some Hard dungeons (even without Dracul), so he seems to at about the same power level as the monster classes right now.

Though, like the Gorgon, he suffers a lot from not having the right preps. The Shield from the Blacksmith is especially important.

Any class can get feeling parched on Hard dungeons. The real test is how many Vicious dungeons it can win.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

Even the old horrendously underpowered Vampire could get "parched" on most, if not all, hard levels.

I certainly didn't have that much luck with the older Vampire. When I say getting Feeling Parched, I'm not meaning getting every so often. I mean that I'm getting it fairly reliably.

In many ways, it's easier than getting it with the Berserker, who's definitely one of the strongest classes at the moment.

For berserker just prep Taurog. All cowardly enemies isn't that bad.

Indeed; probably the only deity worth prepping since you can work around cowardly monsters. Some of the others work okay if you're going for specific medals, but the penalties are just plain nasty in general.

I happen to really like prepping JJ. One item slot is worth being guaranteed to find him early.

Mystera's great for CYDSTEPPers. In fact, I used to use JJ, before the petition nerf, on Vicious runs and it worked out just fine.

I don't know how you guys survive with one less inventory slot. That's fine for playing purist, but you don't get altar preps when playing purist. Will agree with Mystera for a CYDSTEPP'er, though.
