The endgame text even indicates that Vicious dungeons are still left to play and mentions Dragon Isles by name as being previously locked.

...Which reminds me that the Nose Ring which is required to reach the endgame quest is perhaps too difficult to obtain for casual users, since defeating Rex second is the only way to get it...minotaurs are never random bosses. I'm not a casual user by any means, but it seems the devs want to make reaching the endgame quest a realistic goal for them as well.

I'm not sure how realistic it is to expect casual users to ever obtain the Nose Ring. Harder quests which result in locker items or the final potions can easily be skipped by casual users since the endgame quest requires no prep (and w/o prep, shops are heavily stocked with mostly non-quest items). However, defeating the Labyrinth in a non-intuitive way, Rex after random boss, is a requirement to reach the endgame quest.

Maybe there should be an easier way for casual users to get the Nose Ring. Minotaur random bosses? Idk...

Then again, I might be focusing too much on casual users.

The Naga Tail and the Nose Ring are the two nastiest trophies to acquire, with the De-Animated Helm not too far behind. I'm thinking their respective levels should go back to being 1-boss scenarios and rebalanced accordingly.

Maybe for a big enough chunk of gold you could buy rare trophies on the black market?

Or in multi boss dungeons, have the designated 'official' boss be the one who drops a trophy regardless of whom you kill first.

But the stair still wouldn't spawn till you killed both. Naga tails aren't particularly hard, since you have to kill him second anyways.

That's less in reference to the order in which you normally kill the bosses, and more towards the difficulty of the level in general. In its current incarnation, Ick Swamp is the most difficult non-vicious level by a significant margin. If you can beat that mission, then you won't have serious issues with hard-mode Gaan-Telet.

I completed Hard Gaan after the monk Ick Swamp quest and it only took a few attempts since I was so practised with a purist monk.

Ick Swamp is one of those levels that has a "trick" which you can't be expected to figure out on your own, you have to read about it somewhere and it clicks (body pact + piety farm god). Otherwise it's a pain and god-help-you if you get a troublesome secondary boss for whatever class you're playing

I still have some double with Ick. Although it only takes a few tries with a Crusader. Speaking of a crusader, did they fix the strength potion bug?

Yup, the hotfix put all the potions back to normal.

I really like the idea that the designated boss always drops a trophy. I think most everyone agrees Ick needs a nerfing regardless of any trophy issues.

I think the Lab. would be ok as is (with Rex dropping a trophy always) and Hard Halls would be a lot better by simply nerfing AAs.

Trouble you mean? Berserker works very, very well. I got my faithless badge with him. Almost all the designated enemies deal magic damage and he doesn't care too much about getting mana burned. Stick the dragon shield on him for more magic resist. Mow down the warlocks first for their +5% damage items.

Ah! I always forget Vamps are magical now. Crusader is also great because you can mow down corrosion plants, clearing out a lot of space.
