Aw come on, I'm a developer, it hits me in the right spot when even talking gets code-like.

Aren't you a front end guy? Shouldn't you like elegant usability for the end user more?

I'm in between worlds, I do both. But seriously, handling threaded discussions in talk pages ain't that hard, it just takes some getting used to.

You'd also have to keep checking the page periodically. Sure changes would pop up in the recent queue but we've been burning through that lately (I'm about to upload 100+ images >.>)

You can "watch" the page and get notifications for the updates, also the recent page allows for filtration by namespace (talk).
