Humility and Absolution now cost 15 piety, so you need to desecrate an altar to get out of GG now. That's annoying.

Eh - I think it's a matter of the monsters and glyphs really, think it's an improvement that jumping in and out of GG requires either a plan or a bit of luck now. Is anyone a fan of the late-game boons? - they seem a tad too general - I can't really see what character gets any particular advantage from either of them, especially given the high piety requirements.

On the subject of GG, don't you only get -2 for higher level kills?

Yup, no different than picking up a pile of gold

Enlightenment is a false path; don't even consider it unless you've got Pactmaker for consensus to get out. Protection is alright, but not worth sacrificing your potions. Unless you're going for parched, always convert out.

As I've said before, there are two types of GG worshipper: the early worshipper and the late worshipper. Early birds want to get in no later than level 3, grab humility and absolution, then convert out at their first convenience (new piety gain structure means you can linger up until it's time to use your potions). Unless you've got an emergency, don't use protection. The late-worshipper converts in after drinking all his potions, then uses his piety for protection and ignores humility and absolution. There's nothing stopping a former early worshipper from converting back to become a late-worshipper, but generally there is no overlap between these two approaches.

Am I missing something with the silver berserker challenge? As far as I can tell it's just rerolling the dungeon until you get the viper ward shop early, hoping the random monster isn't the resist-down bandits, and that the resist-down plants and high-level physical monsters aren't completely blocking your path. I've gotten to the point where I can actually attack the boss a couple of times but I don't have anywhere near the resources left to take him down. And if it's actually just a scumming challenge then :|

You don't want to fight anything that isn't magic, use your resists to get some good level catapulting going on early. Try and break into the mob "chain" early, around the 1s and 2s and then you can mostly just follow that to the boss, attacking mobs once to make them teleport if they are in your way. Use the potions, you'll probably only be able to use one or two against the boss depending on how many dark tiles you have. They give an experience boost and first strike, so use them as a finishing move.

Against the boss, you'll have to regen fight him. Whenever your health dips close to 0 chug a might potion for a little extra kick in your attack.

I think I used the Viper Ward too, maybe it is necessary.

Dunno how useful this would be but it's the only screenshot I could find of my run.

Yeah, and anyways the devs are making the silvers only partial prep dungeons, but at least that's better than what it is already.
