The maze levels can be really unfair without preps. I wouldn't bet my savings on a one-shot game of DTD on a maze level, even an easy ranked one.

I'm not completely sure this one belongs here but it became reason enough for me to dislike the Earthmother.
It did not spawn me with IMAWAL on the second earth-mother puzzle for the Explorer's Guild. I think I tried every variable I could think of and I could hit level two but not kill the boss. Not sure if i'm just doing the puzzle wrong though. I know the third puzzle requires some random luck when using her boon to clear the plants out but still...Hate you Earthmother. :[

For the second one, try the plantation boon at some point

And as for the third, no luck required at all, but you will need counting skills (subtraction) and you'll have to get corroded like an iron shack in a blizzard. Or use the other solution.

Puzzles are completely non-random. Even the "random" Jehora Jeheyu puzzle uses a preset seed so it always plays out exactly the same way. Most of the deity puzzles don't give you their freebee glyph, but that's just part of the challenge.
