It's absolutely amazing how 5% dodge and dodge prediction has completely turned around GETINDARE.

Almost as amazing as how the level generation tweaks made WONAFYT useful.

Both incredibly true points. Anyways, I LOVE the new GETINDARE. The ability to get about 1-2 free hits on a monster is like a weak, more balanced CYDSTEPP.

I like that. Although it shouldn't be the same sprite with different scaling this way. Then again it's kind of funny how often you can slay the last "true" dragon.

Given the build-up to her, I think the Matron should be the most powerful stand-alone enemy in the game. Heck, I'd go as far as to say she should take up 4 tiles of space and have immunity to knockback/WEYTWUT (since she's supposed to be the last "true" dragon).

Hhhmmm. Disagreeing on that last one, anyone creative enough to leverage weytwut + knockback on the Matron deserves to (also, for Half-Dragons it is a *horrible* level at the best of times... no need to make it worse for them). I think the Matron could do with a small rebuff to her damage, just because her damage is now pretty trivial for a boss and she's anticlimactic compared to the firstborn, but I kind of like the whole guards-to-weaken-you then not-too-rough-an-enemy way it works at the moment. The earlier balance between Firstborn-quite-tricky and Matron-aaaaaaaa was fine by me. That said, I think difficulty adjustments should probably be left until Binlor's fixed up (since that's one of the big reasons this level isn't feeling quite vicious enough at the moment).

Also, Cf. Matron and the DL sub-bosses for damage...

And as a dungeon that gates a monster class, DI should probably not be too vicious regardless of what flavour/build-up dictates.

What is more, the new funcionality of WONNAFYT and GETINDARE has me playing Tinker all the time because I feel like I always need more inventory space :D The dodge prediction being available outside of high end potion preps and TT is simply incredible :)

And at the post above - making DL too VICIOUS would confound newbies who are likely to proceed along the western path, as well as make the Dragonshield too inexcessible.

I just remembered which god I used for my Berserker run of DI. It was Dracul (as a 2nd god I think). I took the drinking blood boon and a bunch of "heal all HP" boon and got so much health I think I got the "Feeling Thirsty" badge because I didn't need to drink any potions.

Speaking of GetInDar, I remember someone saying the new dodge prediction would be great for Rogues when it first came out. As it turns out, Rogues can't use the glyph at all because they always have first strike on, so it's still an auto-convert for them. Whoops?

That's just a bug.

For DI, Drac and GG are ALWAYS who you want to convert into. Others work, but they aren't nearly effective enough.

Just got back into DD after a month away. Gotta say, that while a lot of the changes are interesting enough, I was most excited by not having to pay so dang much for the god of my choice to shoot me in the foot. I can deal with 10 gold. 50 annoyed the hell outta me every single time.

Nandrew mentioned they are considering whether it'd be too overpowered if the glyph doesn't check first strike (because then it'd be stackable 5% dodge for every 3 mana, and that'd be broken). Maybe they'll come up with something else.

I think it's more than that - Rogue starts out with 20% and with TT he can get to 30%. Giving him an ability to jack up "dodgsteps" for 3 mana would probably make old cydstepp rogues look inefficent :)
