Proper God Rules

Postby Bloggorus on Fri Jun 15, 2012 10:34 am

Dear Devs,

Are there plans for proper integration of the 'rules' of the gods in future?

With all the changes, and all the gods, and all the different rules, I cannot keep track. Having to refer to the wiki is a drag.

What is the best way to get the moods of the gods across without having to put a wall of text in the game?

Cheerfully,

Flustered by Gods

Possibly an unpopular opinion, but I don't mind the gods being a bit inscrutable. They are gods, after all. Piety log will tell you why your piety changed...

I agree that some kind of in game encyclopedia is necessary; relying on memory for optimal play is not very desirable.

Maybe there could be some kind of permanent logbook that gradually reveals each way to gain and lose piety as the player discovers them.

We've got a little post-it on the office fridge.

It bears the word "CODEX?" in clear black pen, and has been hanging there rather forlornly for quite some time now.

When exactly we'll get around to it remains a mystery.

There are some interface scribbles about it. Actually.

I've heard that someone once saw an explanation of why a god did something in-game, but then that version of the game exploded. And then exploded again.

I want to know the history of the gods! That sounds really awesome. I say have a three-part history of their life and godhood. Early life, Ascension, and Godhood.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.
