I just received the Crystal Ball from the quest for completing Den of Danger with all of the tier two classes. What happens if I don't locker it right away? Is it gone forever?

Once you've unlocked an item, it will begin to appear randomly in shops in the dungeon. If you don't locker the item immediately, you will have to purchase it in a dungeon shop and return with it to the kingdom in order to locker it.

Duly note, there are three artifacts that will never (currently) show up in shops: dragon shield, Namtar's ward, Avatar symbol. They've largely fallen out of use (some were never of much use), but it's a point of pride to many to keep them in their locker.

Those items are always dropped in the dungeon, however, so you can always return and beat the dungeon again to claim them.

Since Crystal Ball now has a 5 gold charge fee, it's better to locker it anyway -- You probably don't want to spend the 15 gold "initiation fee" just for it to sit in your inventory, now that gold is much more scarce.
