Gnome Puzzle Pack

Postby Polatrite on Fri Jun 22, 2012 3:15 pm

Is it possible to beat Gnome Puzzle #2? This is the one with WEYTWUT and ENDISWAL and a level 3 warlock and snake with level 1 assorted creatures. I've tried beating it by attacking every single different mob first and no matter what happens I always wind up dying before reaching level 2. Does anyone know how to beat it?

It appears something has changed here to make the puzzle unwinnable.

I thought I beat it last week... I look at it.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

It is possible to beat it. If you want to see the solution, highlight and enlarge the text below

*Spoilers*

1.Pick up weytwut and use it on the top right warlock
2.Kill the goblin
3.convert weytwut and pick up endiswall
4.use potion and destroy a wall so you can attack the snake
5.kill the snake, using up your death protection
6.use endiswall twice to kill the boss

*Spoilers*

I do believe these puzzles were made harder since they first came out

That was unintentional. This is how it was supposed to be solved.

Speaking of which, I think Gnome 3 is impossible. The best I could do is get it down to 1 friggin HP, and the last health potion is basically useless.

Hints:
You need to only kill one enemy and the boss
You get the sword and shield at level one
You only cast one spell. And you cast it twice or thrice (It doesn't really matter).
If you cast it thrice you will save your DP.
I ended with 0 potions, though many were still available on the map.

SOLUTION:
1. Swap with the meat man.
2. Pick up the potions, convert fireball, drink two mana potions, and swap with the boss.
3. Pick up the sword and shield, then kill the meat man.
4. Kill the boss using your hp, then a potion, then another potion, then either WEYTWUT or your DP.

I know im probably being stupid, but I just cant figure out Gnome Pack Puzzle #1. After a bit of trial and error I was able
to puzzle out 2 and 3 but 1 throws me off. Im betting its a case of overlooking something simple.
