I'd say the 10 piety cost isn't untenable, but you'd either need to increase the number of walls it consumes or kick down the magic resist substantially (probably no higher than 1%).

Nah, the Sorcerer has been designed from day 1 to be the "magical hybrid" guy so I don't find him strange.

Now, the Bloodmage ALSO being hybridish in a tree of classes that is supposedly the "mage" tree leaving only the Wizard to be the caster focus? That's odd.

Well, every OTHER tree gets a tier 3, glyph-focused Elf/Gnome candidate.

I think we have a decent supply of capable casters.

They may be casters, they just aren't casting fireballs. They cast they're own unique spells.

Honestly, if you put it like that, everyone's a caster. Even the Berserker will cast a few glyphs now and then.

Bu the difference is they cast they're glyphs very often. The only non-caster casters IMO are GETINDARE or BYCEPS spammers.

Everyone's a caster hybrid if you look at it from a certain perspective. Warlord's ony a caster, really because his ability is a glyph (same object category) as a fireball. The assasin is also a "caster" because there is no bow and arrow in the game.

Sorcerer siply has a stpid god synergy between using mana based attacks and health based ones. And the bloodmage simply has more resorces at his disposal than anyone else. The proble is that sorcerer "transmutes" mana into HP by way of casting spells (which is an incentive to cast spells, which he would do anyway, because of his large mana pool), the bloodmage only has a way to turn "exploration" hp into mana... and this will be continued, have an emergency IRL atm
