Is it just me or is Mystera's first puzzle harder than the 2nd?

The first requires you to know the obscure fact that you can hit someone else to cause burning on a different enemy to "explode" and deal damage (for the lack of the better word)

The 2nd just requires you not to touch the wraiths.

@fall_ark: Ha! Though you raise a point. Perhaps +30-40% instead?
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

Cursed Oasis much improved (purist goblin thief run was fun), done all the puzzle sets atm, all well and good.

I agree Assassin nerf would be better if the poison plus raised them a little above a normal class - would also give them an incentive to go for the mixed/spell-sword route rather than a pure caster, which is behaviour this change reinforces. Mystera changes all good. Will have a go at the transmuter tomorrow.

@fall_ark
Corrosion encourages pure caster play more, and the assassin can leverage their conditional first-strike to make use of bonus damage. I mean, it's still a fairly lightweight ability but it encourages a more adaptive playstyle in a way that corrosion didn't (I mean, if we still had corrosion and a -20% attack bonus I'd be playing assassins exclusively as casters, really).

I'm a slow learner: I've crashed three times so far because of JJ worship. Must... not.. worship...

... and almost just did it again. Habits. So ingrained. See JJ early, worship.

APHEELSIK weakening could be interesting. Perhaps -2 damage per your level?

Ok, I'm completely stuck on the last Mystera puzzle. I can't figure out how to survive two hits from the Berserker.

I wondering if I might be taking the wrong boons, since I have piety left over.

A few hints for that last puzzle:

Refreshment is awesome
Physical attacks can be awesome
Slow disables counter fireball
Attacking a monster triggers burning damage on others

Or, if you just want the solution

[SPOILER]

Take Refreshment and two doses of Magic
WONAFYT the level 1, don't attack it yet
Cast BYSSEPS and ENDISWAL , converting WONAFYT in-between
Attack the berserker
Convert ENDISWAL/BYSSEPS and WEYTWUT the berserker
Convert ENDISWAL/BYSSEPS, take the Flames boon, and fireball the berserker once
Kill the level 1
Convert WEYTWUT and finish the berserker off with one last fireball
That which is not dead may eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die.
