I *get* the reference, but I was speaking seriously that it can't actually raise a monster to level 11.

^ On the other hand the pharse is all over the net (or TV tropes at least). I knew what it ment, and also why it ment what it ment (turning dials past the old standard), except I had to google Spinal Tap.

EDITED IN SIDETRACK:

Which leads to a mildly amusing story. Concerning my country most of the hard rock / metal of the 80's never happened, the urban guys were into either new wave (which was huge) or punk (also huge). So most references from that area mean nothing to me. We had enough of our own music back then, domestic metal especially (noone at home knew where you were stealing from, so it was having a boom), that there was no need to import, and being a communist country (allthough not an eastern block one, but more like Cuba) - most people didn't know or care about anglophone stuff (the west was an exotic hipster thing for a good while).

Except Iron Maiden. We really dug Iron Maiden. Why? Because from our perspective they were playing FOLK music. Some of their most popular stuff in these parts is basicaly using 3 guitars to play accordion without an accordion. Natturaly, in my hometown of Split they are considered a "local" band. You can't avoid knowing a bunch of songs even if you're not a metal fan. If you are, however, you don't listen to them so much because they "aren't really metal, they are a folk band".
And the megapopular patriotic/ultranationalist/fascist evil rockstar Thopson is playing mostly Iron Maiden knockoffs with christian rock lyrics in Croatian. Guess who his favourite band are?

This led to a very amusing moment when our national footbal coach invited them do do an off-tour concert in Split "just 'cause". He was a big fan, being from Split and all. It turned out they were HIS fans as well, from the days he played in West Ham in England. They became household buddies, and their concert in Split must've been really weird to them because of all the "regular" folks there :D It was like "Hey Steve, wanna do a gig at my place?" "Yeah, sure!" :D

(Also, synthesizers were and are really big around these parts - it's a space age accordion! And rhytm machine auto tune samples - look, my accordion can play the drums for me!)

Ok, sidetrack over.

Speaking of itams, anyone remember the Witchalok Pendant? The quest is still sitting undone on my new profile. I think the last time I used it, Stoneskin was still 10% per stack so maybe it's more useful now but...

Thought for balanced dagger: if there are no revealed monsters of equal level to yourself on the current dungeon floor, it grants a small damage bonus. Basically, if its primary functionality is disabled a secondary functionality kicks in.
