A strength potion and the thing that makes boosters give +2 base.

Doesn't that come at the expense of less glyphs?

(managed to hit a level 7 at level 1 on Creeplight ruins)

Yes, but I tried less glyphs and could only get a level 3 kill.

The level 7 at Creeplight is not very surprising because the monsters have worse stats than in Vicious.

Speaking of which, how much do people use the booster preps from the tower? I was under the impression that for the most part no one ever used them.

I pretty much only use "extra glyph" or "fireball magnet"

Not a lot - Less Glyphs, Extra Glyphs and Fireball Magnet.

I pretty much only use the sword one as a substitute or in addition to a strength potion. Other than that it's usually less glyphs or fireball magnet.

I love the attack booster prep. The other seem fairly worthless and I would agree that fireball magnet and less glyphs are taken the majority of the time anyway.

Extra Glyphs (especially for races like Goblin which needs finer conversion control) and Fireball Magnet (not that much nowadays seeing as how it has the highest preparation cost plus sometimes I don't WANT fireball to take up an inventory slot from the start) only.

The big problem with the booster glyphs is that they have the Bloodmage Alpha bloodpool problem: they're only really usable in open space levels, which are mostly comparatively early anyway.

Besides I didn't even calculate if it gives you a big enough boost to compared to just picking up the booster whenever you see one.
