1) Wargasm and some guys think Sorc needs a buff, Abraxas and some other guys think no, I think I'd love to hear any of the devs thoughts on Sorcerer.
I don't think there's a big problem with a slight buff, but I wouldn't go crazy with him (as the comments in that thread indicate, the wizard is a much needier candidate). I like the idea of making his healing scale by level so it's weaker at low levels but stronger at high levels. Making mana shield unresistable damage rather than magic damage also sounded like a good change, which would also fix the sorcerer's problems with nabbing the specialist badge.
2) Avatar brought a dirty little exploit into the miy involving Sorc and B2P, Abraxas seems to think it's not all that exploity. Needs looking into I guess.
It requires a lot of luck to pull off, but it's definitely a bit too abusive if it does happen. Making the healing scale by level would solve the problem. Otherwise, this will require some artificial tweaking since I don't think a standalone nerf to either the class or glyph is justified.
3) The wizards issue is all over the place. We all agree he is not very good atm, yet I think all he lacks is prpoer focus.
Basically, the problem is a dissonance between the meta-game realities of a spellcaster and the class concept of the wizard. Spellcaster specialists in this game are essentially damage-spikers, and as a result they want abilities that can fuel a prolonged damage spike. The wizard, on the other hand, seems entirely built around efficiency. He can find glyphs without exploring as much, he doesn't need to devote much inventory space to hoard them, and in the long-run a -1 glyph cost saves a lot of exploration space. However, resource efficiency is more the domain of a high-resistance high-damage brawler such as the Paladin. The wizard's BURNDAYRAZ/PISRORF spam approach just doesn't make use of the auxiliary glyphs he can easily cart around or the improved regen-game offered by his lower mana costs. Pretty much the only things going for him are the nice sweet spots at 15/20 mana and good value out of BLUDTUPOWA. Otherwise the more convenient/frequent level-up catapults offered by Assassins and Fighters are a more significant asset to spellcasters.
