.... and yet, I can't come anywhere close on VHoS with the (current) vampire. I guess my generic strategy is a little too Binlor dependent. And there's just not enough viable prey for the vampire there. Anyone done it lately? I just ran through every other class in the past few days, but the vampire has proven to be a tough nut.

I'd go for Platemail, two burn salves and as much life steal as possible. The Indomitable should go down once you get his DPs fairly low.

Sure sure... just a question of leveling up that high... not much to feed on, especially with platemail. Have you done it?

Whatever you do, make sure you don't sparkle or people will mob and kill you.

... I'll answer my own question: scum for balanced dagger (as you need need need the dragon shield).

You have a VHoS win with all classes? Nice job!

Thank you sir.

Yes... it's not exactly trivial, but it's close, if you have 65% magic resist, a knockback mace for The Indomitable, and whupazz to get the Count started. Vampire is a bit trickier; you probably don't need the balanced dagger, but found it harder to level up and save unexplored space without it (I'd been going after The Indomitable at 7 with everyone else, but was forced to do it at 6 with the vampire, and it's not bad, though you so burn some serious resources getting that first DP off....) Looking at the bonus experience on the win, actually, it seems like translocating Yendor would be very nearly the same.

I count 14 +2 exp kills, so Yendor's still significantly better, but good nonetheless.

I'm curious, how are you starting with 65% magic res? I usually go Binlor to GG prepping Dragon Shield.

Yendor IS better, but if you prep dragon shield you have to buy Yendor! And thats just ridiculously expensive ;-)
