DD MMO?

Postby Nurator on Sat Nov 10, 2012 3:44 pm

I am looking for some good MMOs for some time, and I circled it down to one I would LOVE to play:
A dungeon crawler with an MMO city builder on top.

So you would have to build a city with smiths and so on with the materials you get by defeating ogres, golem and so on.

Then I thought: Hey! You are already playing something like that: DD :)
The only thing lacking is its MMO element. You are playing all by yourself and have no concept of energy or something similar.

I would love to play something like that! So, are you guys know what you will program after DD? :)

Or does anyone know a game, that works like that?

I'm sure there are plenty of facebook / kongregate games that work like that...

This is the first I'm hearing of people who like the energy mechanic from pay to win games.

Agreed that the gameplay and mechanics wouldn't work well in an MMO, but if you modified that and kept the bosses, items, monsters, etc. in name and theme it could work.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

I thought more about something like that: You build your city out of the materials of the enemies you kill (if you kill a ogre with a spear, you get a lot of wood, a little stone and a little cloth). In that city you can upgrade your blacksmith/mage to get you better weapons to take into the dungeon. The dungeon itself would be plain DD, the other part a MMO .
