More Mage Fist reporting:

* Nothing special from fireballing nagas in the Southern Swamp
* Dynamite against Goo Blobs
* In particular, Counter:Fireball is making it difficult to turn the leftover mana I have when I'm about to level up into a head start on the next monster. Urg.

Edit: Just finished a PQI where I got Slime Pit/Elf Priest/Faithless. I took Mage Fist to see how it would perform. Result: Typically at L7 I can clean up L6 monsters with a dangerous attack (weakening, corrosive, etc.) with a fireball and finish up with melee. This wasn't possible. I ended up converting the item, both so I could take out those monsters to get enough XP, and so my health resources would last through both the Tower of Goo and SMM.

On the bright side, I saw the Metal Spider Temple subdungeon for the first time!

The main problem is on debuff heavy levels. Then the debuffs are so hard to avoid it's not worth it. NEVER bring Mage fist to the Slime Pits.

Nothing happens if you beat Naga City with the Magefist. I have no idea what you're supposed to do. Except for Nandrew's post, there are any clues that the Naga Cauldron even exists, let alone that it is linked to using the Magefist. Is there a new subdungeon somewhere that can only be passed with the Magefist?

Got the cauldron as boss-item in naga city. No magefist involved in any way (as in "i haven't found it yet").
Made by the sun priests of the old Naga empire.
Increases potion effectiveness for each stack of poison, weakening and corrosion on the character

Haven't tested this a lot, but at least for corrosion the number seems to be 2% per stack. Whether that's 2% of maxHP or 2% of the potion's power i don't know yet. Could be pretty cool on mass weakened gnome caster's.
Really? What was the race and class you beat the dungeon with?

Orc Warlord, Specialist, Cheeky and DING Badges (so nothing special at all i guess). Have not finished the Snakes-quest in this kingdom, which shouldn't matter, but...

Hmmmm. After the Snakes? Snakes! update I beat Naga City three times (Dwarf Rogue, Human Sorcerer, Human Thief) and got Mage Fist each of the three times. (The second two times I left it on the ground.) I never earned the Specialist badge.

Eh, I thought I'd add something, but then I reread the notes and noted that it said "vocal" not "verbose" so I wasn't sure it aplies to me.

Is the cauldron preppable or not? Appears in the shop or not? Because if you can get cauldron + mass retaliate, you could stack youself silly with debuffs and get more out of your potions (doooh). The only problem is - where and how does this make sense?

Poison goes away and... is not stackable?

Curse would actually be a good idea unless youre going melle, since having one and having a million is the same.

Stacking corrosion? Well, I see some potential there, except you'd need a lot to make it worth it. Or would you? Problem is, the guys who'd want the extra healing are melee, and they'd be trading damage per hit for health per potion.

Stacking weakness on a mage of some sort? How much of a benefit?

How do you unlock the thing, and does it show up in the shops?

Having two Avatars icon users sure is confusing.

Does Tikki Tooki's punishment still give every monster weakening? A pure fireball caster could desecrate him and then repeatedly tap a level 1 Meat Man until your mana potions are worth 100%. Seeing as pure fireball casters are already pretty dang powerful...
