You know, I like this concept! Maybe it could do with a couple of tweaks, like making the challenge criteria more specific or exotic -- taking advantage of the fact that this is a "metagame" and doesn't necessarily have to conform to the achievement metrics that DD itself lays out for you.

Off the top of my head, you could place an arbitrary restriction on the types of enemies killed, or their order ("no wraiths", "kill all bosses in a row"), et cetera ;)

Give this a go again with some more advanced warning, I have my doubts about enough people looking in to see this particular thread right away (even I didn't check until now :P)

It's also Cursed Oasis, perhaps my least favorite level. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I'd have rather done Naga City.

I'd like to stick with the medal scoring for now, so that we can actually accomplish the original goal of figuring out which are the hardest to get

So, with the short round 1 contest over, here are the final rankings:

1st Place: Darvin (Goblin Assassin) = 22 points
Parched (3)
Hoarder (5)
Miser (3)
Purist (4)
Cheeky (1)
Ding! Max (2)
Specialist (1)
Unstoppable (3)

2nd Place: Avatar (Orc Berserker) = 13 points
Warmonger (5)
Parched (3)
Miser (3)
Cheeky (1)
Specialist (1)

3rd place: Nurator (Dwarf Monk) = 7 Points
Cheeky (1)
Ding! Max (2)
Specialist (1)
Unstoppable (3)

I'll now open this to a volunteer from the DD community to "host" Dungeon of the Day #2. You can select any starting time you like (preferably in the next 24 hours). The host has the final say on the rules of that contest, though I agree with gjaustin that we should probably stick to medal-based scoring. Might be interesting to stipulate a randomly chosen class this time.

Should I post a new topic?

In fact, I think a general topic (that should be stickied) to hold all the results and contests.
