Nice job Darvin. I've run out of time to pull off that.

I forgot about Unstoppable, and I should have been able to get it.

I presume you mean you forgot about specialist (that's the one you're missing). That still leaves you with 21 points, missing only specialist, faithless, and warmonger. That's enough to put you into 2nd place.

Current standings:

Darvin - Elf Paladin - 25
Hoarder
Purist
Faithless
Unstoppable
Parched
Miser
Ding! Max
Specialist
Cheeky

Avatar - Goblin Paladin - 21
Parched
Hoarder
Miser
Purist
Cheeky
Ding! Max
Unstoppable

Sidestepper - Orc Monk - 17
Warmonger
Parched
Faithless
Purist
Cheeky
Specialist

Dreamdancer - Halfling Priest - 10
Cheeky
Specialist
Warmonger
Miser

Just for the record. Darvin, you missed my second run (Halfling Priest), which added Warmonger and Miser badges.
It wouldn't change much, still last place, but on the other hand 10 points look better as 2 ;)

Great job entering anyways! It doesn't matter how many or few badges you get, you're awesome for entering.

With two hours to go until contest close, the time has come to begin thinking about round 3. Anyone have ideas to change around the rules? Or go with the same setup and just re-randomize the restrictions?

Also, I weighted the badge frequency by high scores, and came up with the following "most valuable badges". My methodology was to give each badge points every time it appeared in a high scoring run (for instance, if someone submitted a score of 17, then I added 17 to the "scoring value" of every badge they earned). I then normalized this to account for "low-lying fruit" by multiplying by the score factor of the badge in question.

#1 - Purist (340 / submitted 4 times)
#2 - Hoarder (340 / submitted 3 times)
#3 - Parched (294 / submitted 5 times)
#4 - Miser (273 / submitted 5 times)
#5 - Unstoppable (243 / submitted 4 times)
#6 - Warmonger (200 / submitted 3 times)
#7 - Ding! Max (162 / submitted 4 times)
#8 - Faithless (126 / submitted 2 times)
#9 - Cheeky (121 / submitted 7 times)
#10 - Specialist (100 / submitted 6 times)

Cheeky and Specialist are at the bottom simply by virtue of being 1-pointers. Cheeky was actually present on every single submitted run, and specialist was missing from only one. However, at 1 point each they were not a significant factor towards overall scoring. Purist was widely used and accounted for a very large chunk of score. Hoarder was pursued less frequently, but when it did appear it popped up on some of the highest scoring runs (no one scored above 20 points without hoarder).

On the low end of the spectrum, Warmonger and Faithless had little influence in overall scoring. Neither were submitted frequently, and Warmonger never actually made it onto any high-scoring run (no one scored above 20 points with warmonger). This makes me believe they were under-priced for their difficulty and tended to be the first medals to get dumped.

So, if I were to propose revised scoring:
* hoarder down to 4 points
* purist down to 3 points
* faithless up to 4 points
* warmonger up to 6 points

Under these revised rules, Avatar and Sidestepper would have tied this round. Actual placement would not have changed since Avatar's time was better.

I really liked the last setup. One could now change the Church classes to the Taxidermist classes (Crusader, Tinker and Transmuter). Probably one could also pre-determine the class, since the ability to chose from three classes gives some freedom.
Pre-determining a badge wouldn't be such a good idea, i think.

EDIT: New scoring looks sensible.

The problem is there aren't many thinks which are shown besides class, race, dungeon, badges and what killed when in the scoring screen.
Had the funny idea one could also pre-determine a god. Downsides: Can't be verified, no faithless badge and worshipping Dracul in Cursed Oasis or Erthmother in Ick Swamp miight be totally brutal.

Only deity we can verify is Glowing Guardian with humility, which will show a hiccup on the score screen that no other effect could possibly reproduce. Dracul on the Cursed Oasis would be doable with desecration or the Paladin, and Earthmother on Ick Swamp actually isn't too bad since she'll have a huge amount of clearance fodder.

We could play "classic GG" rules where you're not allowed to kill monsters that are a lower level than yourself.
