Yes, but only if it's no trouble. It's just a minor detail.

Sorry for the delay, something pulled me away at 8:00 and I only just got back.

*Rolls Dice*

Your dungeon is #1 - Rock Garden

Your classes are
4 - Wizard
1 - Berserker
6 - Transmuter

Have fun everyone. Warmonger had better place well this time round with little real competition to the Berserker on the roster.

On consideration, this should be interesting. The Wizard is a weak class but well-suited to the dungeon, the Transmuter is an average class with no real advantage or disadvantage on this dungeon, and the Berserker is a strong class which is poorly suited to this dungeon. I fully expect to see some RBS Berserkers rampaging through the Rock Garden this week.

Here's one to start it off. :)

I'm not sure I could do better without unlocking binlor, and then I'd have Berserker. The scoring system really goes against wizard, at least an early kingdom one. Cheeky in particualr if going purist/parched. Maaaaybe I could do warmonger, and I think I've made a mistake and went for unstoppable instead of parched, allthough I'm not sure.

I found the dungeon tricky, and maybe I've just been playing the early game for too long. Oh, well, I'm proud of my Binlorless Rock Garden run, it was fun and ty guys for picking a dungeon I could compete in. If I beat this, I'll sure post ^^

EDIT: make that deffinitely missed out on parched on mistake while mopping up, I could've had them both with no problems at all. At least people won't get discouraged from trying this time ^^ (Note, Cheeky and Unstoppable are rather tricky on this one :) )

Hmm, if it weren't for Cheeky I'd consider trying to prep a Balanced Dagger for this.

Mystera isn't so powerful when you're going for Hoarder, but she's powerful enough. I got lucky with my glyph draw - BLUDTOPOWA, ENDISWAL, and IMAWAL for massive bonus XP. I got unlucky with my boss draw, though - I had Frank down to ~300 HP before I needed to use mana potions, and the only thing I bought was a keg of mana, so if I'd gotten someone with less HP as my third I could've swung Miser and Parched. Oh well, I feel like I've sufficiently defended the Wizard's honor, anyway.

That gives me:

Warmonger (6)
Miser (3)
Faithless(4)
Cheeky (1)
Specialist (1)
Ding! Max (2)
Unstoppable (3)
= 20 points

(forsook Purist, Parched, and Hoarder)

I'm going to see if I can add Hoarder to my list, but it'll be tricky with the RBS when it comes to popcorn cleanup.

Got it!

Warmonger (6)
Hoarder (4)
Miser (3)
Faithless(4)
Cheeky (1)
Specialist (1)
Ding! Max (2)
Unstoppable (3)
= 24 points

A favourable boss and subdungeon gave me the extra staying power to pull it off. I also prepped translocation this time and got a vampiric blade (found yendor later and cried a little) which gave me the resources to punch through on my win. I also prepped smuggler's den for extra blackspace, which proved helpful.

Grats!

And, err, how about we just split this into categories? I don't mind being "beaten", but there is no way a wizard can compete with a Berserker - warmonger is almost a no-brainer with him, even in Rock Garden.

Hmmm... quite true. With warmonger being a pipe-dream for the Wizard and impractical for the Transmuter, there's pretty much no way for them to match the Berserker's score.

I guess we'll have a Berserker and non-Berserker division. Next time we'll probably have to do something to ensure we don't get wildly divergent levels of class power when we randomly pick our classes. Maybe we'll just randomly pick between tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 next time?

Also, I forgot to mention it, but I dumped the RBS on my second run-through. This was actually an accident and I'd prepped a different item by mistake, but it worked out in the end.

Nice job. I think Warminger should be 5.
