Tinkers who score a gold subdungeon are really, really good Dorklings. The halfling + run into a trisword + run into an alch scroll thing happened quite often on my tinker runs last playthrough and it's really weird that I didn't make a Gaan'Telet vid which featured it. Never thought to actually prep for it and pick a priest, which I probably will this time around, at least somewhere :)

Quick question that needs to be resolved quickly:

In the current version, Assassins are bugged and are capable of beating monster first strike. The chosen dungeon happens to have a first-striking boss, so this is a non-negligible boost to the Assassin's power. Should we declare the Assassin a bugged class and reroll a selection, or accept the Assassin (since it is a +0 class anyways) as being slightly advantaged?

my vote is for reroll

Reroll I'd say, if he's indeed bugged.

Would also be for a reroll.

Here the first run:
Orc Rogue (non purist):
preped:
Translocation scroll (became later a fine sword, other items weren't impressive for the situation; alchemist scroll looked nice but wanted to try parched)
Avatars Symbol (for resists and damage boost)
The +10% damage badge from black smith
Patches (was lucky, got only 2times mana burn and once poison, later wasn't bad, since one can tackle a snake and isn't sad from the poison)
Potions: whupaaz, strength and quicksilver

Badges:
Parched (3), Hoarder (4), Miser (3), Cheeky (1), Specialist (1), Unstoppable (3), DING! Max! (2)
=> 17 points

The run:
Found GETINDARE and ENDISWAL early. First was nice for dodge and second for make holes in the walls. The resits helped only for the first few levels).
While exploring found the two glyphs and pactmaker and the shop with the fine sword (waited with that and hoped to find better stuff)
Used strength pot to kill a lvl3 goat -> got lvl2 and patches teleported me to the other end of the map. Found Dracul there. After a short thought i worshipped him (i would miss faithless, but needed another buff, thought dracul is a better idea, than to convert stuff) and bought blood hunger. Went back to the initial side of the map and translocated the fine sowrd. went pactmaker with census (for a second blood hunger - bye bye resits) and a warrior pact (solving the hp problem). Think used shortly after that the relfex potion for a monster.
Used GETINDARE (-> dodge) to kill some higher level stuff. at two points Patches screwed me with mana burn and i had to kill low level stuff to lvlup (but this was ok with the warrior pact).
Killed Gorgon boss with dodges and high powered Avatars Symbol and a mid-fight level up i think.
Patches teleported me to a part of the maps with few holes in the walls. Had to walk a long way and to kill some monsters. The second boss was hiding and i had to kill some more popcorn-monsters to get to him. One the other hand this gave me some health from lifesteal. whupaaz on boss (don't remember the other stuff) 1-2 dodges where involved, but i think no levelup.
Funny thing a the end: Was missing 5xp to lvl10 and there were only two wraith, with my low piety this gave me tow punishments from dracul... after that i realised that blood curse would have been also an option.

Nice submission, Dreamdancer.

I'd say given the strong feedback for a reroll Avatar should just go ahead with it.

This is a really different way of playing. I catch myself every couple of minutes just about to do something that will cost a medal and ruin the attempt, just because they're such obvious things.

Ding! Max = 2

Straightforward Trilling. Binlor->Dracul conversion chain, used APHEELSIK to facilitate level-ups.

Sort, I've been offline for awhile.

I'm happy to say the new re-roll is priest.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.
