Hi,

I thought about starting the whole game anew when all kingdom changes take place (to really appreciate the graphics and so on), but it would be awesome if we could have the possibility to start the game in "Expert Mode" or something like that.

Maybe all enemies in all dungeons have +50% hp/ more dmg/anything brutally else

This would be really increase the replayability of the game :)

The devs talked about difficulty sliders at one point, but I have no idea on whether they still plan to have them.

Just play everything purist, problem solved ^^

Problem is that purist adds more randomness than difficulty. You can still end up finding GG at level 1 when purist (which is even more powerful than prepping him) and that one really great item that you need might be in your shop pool anyways.

The real answer is that foreboding 9-story tower off in the north-east. There's a 5000 HP goat sitting on top of it that you might want to get around to killing.

I still have a distant hope for a post-production release of an SDK kit. The best expert level content is stuff that was designed to be hard from the ground up. I wouldn't mind playing a "classic beta" map pack where all the monsters are reverted back to their previous insane levels. Remember how hard Naga City was when bosses had more health and damage and crazier powers? I'd love to try out some of our 'modern' builds on something like that.

That would be tough. Still, with above ground altars back it might not be too hard.

Naga City is actually pretty interesting right now as it's perhaps the least random dungeon in the game. You're guaranteed to get zero altars on the top and all nine altars below; guaranteed to have no boss on the top so that the main floor is just for setting yourself up for the arena; guaranteed to get the same lineup of bosses (albeit not necessarily in the same order); and guaranteed to have fixed shops, blackspace, and popcorn in the arena. It's actually quite difficult to beat purist just because it shuts down so many strategies (having said that, I'm sure Lujo will post a 15-minute Bloodmage win shortly ;) ), but at least it's consistently difficult.

Biggest problem with Naga City purist is that topside has some pretty daunting monsters and a tendency to block you off. Purist Bloodmage will need to scum for an early BURNDAYRAZ find, but should be fine if that can be managed.
