I'd say that anything that improves your damage per blow or reduces the damage you take per blow counts as a regen fighting tool. So anything from the Tower Shield to the Fine Sword improve your damage*regen score relative to that of the monster, thereby reducing the tiles spent per exchange. On the other hand, things like the Crystal Ball or Fire Heart do not support regen fighting explicitly. They let you start closer to the finish line, but don't improve the advantage you gain per exchange.

True. Fine sword especially. I'd say that's the best early item.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

Regen fighting is like chess. Easy to use (once you get how it works), but very hard to master. Anyways, BURNDAYRAZ is probably the single best regen fighting tool, so you do raise a fair point.
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.
