Minesweeping silly suggestion

DD has been described as a crossover between minesweeper and nethack. It is probably very late in developement for that type of suggestion, but who knows : why not push a little further the comparison, with a level where the walls are replaced with mines, causing a certain amount of damages to the player (a fixed value, or a proportion of health, or anything else). The regular floor tiles would display the number of surrounding mines.

PISSORF'ing monsters on mines would have them to explode causing damages to the monsters (unless they have a special abilitie to avoid the explosion).

You might want to check that game to see how minesweeper can merge with an hack and slash : http://www.zombieminesweeper.com/

I bet it's something that could actually be done, given our system ... in a more sorta abstracted way (corrosive walls, like the slime pits in Crawl, would be a nice idea for one level). Not much room for it right now, but it's a fun idea.

This might be relevant. Featuring a much younger us.

Also, met the Zombie Minesweeper team at IndieCade a while back when they were first launching it. Very friendly people :)

Indeed, I had played your "Onslaught of the electric zombies" a while ago.
But somehow, even if it was fun, that precursor of DD did not manage yet in mixing that well strategy and minesweeping.
