I've been looking forward to implementing this system for a long time. Dunno why I didn't volunteer to do it sooner (actually, I DO know. UI scares me).

The toggle option is definite. Changing interactions so radically (from one click to two for almost any action) is not something we'd thrust on players lightly (even though I think it's the best idea all-round).

I hope I wasn't too disparaging of keyboard users. I think my way of doing things is actually a little silly, but I like leaning back and navigating with a wireless mouse, y'know. :P

And yeah, I was pretty sure that people would be pleased about the misclick prevention as a side-effect. :) But please, we've already had enough heated discussion around that area.

But very good point, Avatar, it actually makes a lot of sense to marry this new system more tightly with keyboard shortcuts. Dunno how quickly we'll get around to that, but since the radial menu is a focus in the coming weeks (wanted to deploy it today, but it wasn't quite ready ...) I suppose we'll be thinking about it.

+10000 support for the radial + hotkeys. I prefer mouse solo, because mouse + hotkeys is like just asking to get killed in a stupid way at infuriatingly random intervals.

Also, I'd keep the option open for the silly situation of being killed due to cat/random pointer surge. Mouse sureged and I clicked on a random gorgon while ass deep in Gaan'Telet? OMGWTFRAGESADNESSHACKDEVS. Same thing causing a radial menu to pop up instead? Blessed relief.
I almost got pwned by Shifty Brickwork!

This should shape a whole new learning curve. Everyone will be aware of all options available, not just what they know for sure. I really like the idea of having options presented to you in this way! :D
