New Topic: Stats!

So, um, Dislekcia, I couldn't help but notice that you said that you'd much rather talk about stats, but then didn't say much... did you not want to tip your hand? Is such a thing in the works? Is it too late to add? Does anyone have any suggestions about how it should work?

Here is a stat for you:

I've prepped balanced dagger on well over half of my runs since I got the darn thing. I'm thinking of getting a tatoo of one. I'd love to see the "official data" on what items have been prepped the most, you know that its setting in the Dev's office somewhere.

I think statistics showing loss of resource would be interesting.
For example:
Mana not gained because of mana burn.
Health not gained because of poison.
Extra Damage taken because of curse.

If we're talking post run stats here's a few:

- Preps used
- Items bought
- CP gained
- Piety used

I'm not sure they have that.. I recall from Wald0's run them saying something like they couldn't see what locker item was taken.

I don't generally prep it, but I'm always happy to see it, especially if I have WONAFYT. +4XP for same level critters? Yes please.

I'm more interested in global stats, like the ones that pop up in encouragement toasts. But I don't know what stats are kept. Think something like the stats screen Rockstar has in the GTA games: Dungeons entered, dungeons won/surrendered/fled from/died in, favorite item, favorite god, favorite dungeon, favorite race, favorite class, % complete (to really drive people crazy, assuming 100% is completing every dungeon with every class and badge, though not all permutations)... etc...

Trying to figure out ways to make this sort of stat-gathering easier... We handle some stats, but others are lost when a run ends. Aeq is going to fight with me over save-file size ;)

I'm guessing, then, that the statistician's hut isn't the special building?

Not a big deal, just something I thought of as I was wondering how much time I've spent playing this.

I'm thinking that putting interesting stats in the special building might be a good idea, but it wasn't initially designed for that purpose. I don't think we'll be adding more buildings anytime soon - Mouse would probably fly across the country just to strangle me...
