Trouble Equipping Quest Item

Great game. Quick question.

I just beat the silver thief quest and picked up the balanced dagger. Trying to do another dungeon now with the thief, but the balanced dagger does not come up as an option in the preparation panel. I only see original blacksmith items. What am I missing here?

Items founds in dungeons (including those picked up from the class challenges) need to be lockered in the fighter's guild after the run in order to be prepped.

Item unlocks = items are sold in shops. If you want to prep it, you need to locker it.
