Just tried the halfling monk - this strat is hilarious and got a very cheap kill on Dragonborn. Yeah, Drac or Taurog Paladin could both work. Only issue is that you'd be scumming hard for Weytwut. Out of interest, do you guys reckon the warlord could do this with the vicious token, seeing as he'd be using massively amplified Rexx damage without actually taking any more...?

I think I might try it.

Actually, I was thinking the very same thing myself. I would say yes, as long as your boss isn't SMM and maybe Frank. It is a VERY powerful strategy.

Here're the screens to illustrate just how much stuff I had left over :o

And that's with monotheist JJ...

@Lujo, not that prepped monk and warlord aren't obviously hideously good but it's sort of scenario that lets you negate the disadvantages of the classes (monk's low damage, warlord's reliance on spiking). It lets the Warlord spike two bosses with just one load of mana, which is frighteningly good. I agree that you could do the hard dungeon this way with any class and Namtar's but that's basically true of taking on the dungeon in any way at all more or less :p. With the vicious token I think the Warlord multi-spike is my favourite new discovery in the game... does one of the DL bosses have knockback or am I misremembering that (nooope, there goes that plan...)?

Edit: and yeah, it's definitely level one bosskill material if you have the right gods.

Well, yeah, about negating their disadvantages. But it's pretty much impossible to do the stunt with so little effort unless you have can replicate their specific advantages - either the huge damage resistance or the ability to reliably spike someone for physical damage while spending only a fixed ammount of mana.

I mean - those things are powerful and this is a special case scenario, but it's really rare that there is a scenario which illustrates just how much of an advantage those two clowns have over the rest of the guys. Sure, monk still has low damage but the guy can pretty much straight up tank hits from a berserked Rex - knockback ones! (O.O) (ok, so he has a dragonshield, but that's kinda besides the point). And the warlord isn't adapting to the scenario at all! All he does is wheytwut one guy and do exactly the same as he would normaly except the other boss drops dead on his own accord at some point. In theory you could do it by accident XD

Not that it means anything, game is what the game is, and if the devs decide to change anything they'll do it. It's a fun find this self-cannon gimmick, and we're still to see a propper DP stacking bravure with someone other than those two, and a lvl1 bosskill ^^

One day I'll have to get a L1 boss kill just to say I did. I've got the achievement for it due to a bug early on with killing plants, but earning it legitimately would be interesting. I've skimmed past people talking about it in detail but I'm guessing Warlord, Rogue, or acid-casting Wizard would be the easiest ways to go about it.

Did a small bit of research - there are knockback trolls in Rock Garden but I think they're cowardly, so no dice there (would have to doublecheck), and there are minotaurs in Magma Mines and the Shifting Passages. I killed the wraith in the shifting passages with a JJ Halfling Monk using a lvl 7 minotaur, and it didn't work too well because the regular minotaur only berserks at 50% and knocbacks for 50%. It took mana potions to burn the wraith down but it would be servicable, except... Evolvia blink when you get knocked into her! So no dice. :(

Still Magma Mines should be totaly doable, and the labyrinth obviously is.
