I may have just broken the cauldron

Stick a cydstep on an EM worshipping halfling with a naga cauldron. Tell me what you get. You can thank me later.

Dear god. Who new Halfling Warlords could be so great? Now I'm just imagining what a rogue who scummed CYDSTEPP could do. Great find Lujo, now I will finally use the cauldron.

I can't stop giggling hysterically. I whish I could email everyone who was pissed off at me when that monstrosity got benched back then to tell them they can come back now. I whish q3 was here. What an incredibly cathartic moment.

Let's break this in all possible ways.

EDIT: Ever since the last round of balancing I was secretly praying that the devs put it back in somehow, and when I saw that cydstepp change I felt impossibly relieved and so thankful, but that darned 10% was missing. And I'm probably the only person who kept the cauldron in the locker, and I kept trying to push halflings to the limit and couldn't find one. And it was all bloody there all this time XD Sidestepper's acid caster, dear god, I have to buy that guy a beer one day... Ahhh, I feel like I can die happy, it's incredible how much I love this game...

I uh...

I think I'm being dim because I don't get it/don't get why it's better than the existing alternatives. If you can get it so you've got a boss where you can get 2 hits for the clearance/cydstepp/potion combo maybe...

I'm with Blovski here. I'm guessing that you can use the plants to get poisoned/manaburned/cursed/corroded, but at 15 piety a pop, that's pretty expensive, especially since the poison and manaburn keep getting reset. Massive health potions don't seem all that great when you have 40 stacks of corrosion from Earthmother's ire.

Ever herd of the fabled "too broken to believe" cydstep rogue? :)

Now immagine doing the same thing with a Transmuter who has the easiest possible time scumming up whatever you're looking for? Immagine it with the tools we have now?

You only need one shot of weakening and one shot of corrosion XD You can turn anyone into a warlord (sans damage, but who really cares, you got other abilities) XD

In theory you can self-cannon with anyone, at the very least

I believe you when you say you've created something wonderful. I get stacking Greenblood and Clearance with CYDSTEP, but I don't really see how the super potions fit in. I guess I'm going to have to try it and see.

Arggh, I just did a Naga City run but decided not to locker the cauldron. I guess this is as good a time as any to snag some more badges from that place.

You can cast cydstepp at 50% health with anyone. And potions restore 40% health. So you need +10% which is two debuffs which can be RBS and something, or two plants from EM. And then you're a warlord. On top of whatever else you are, say a Rogue. If you hadn't been around when it was hot, take a crack at it, you'll see. Stacking a warlord on top of a rogue used to be able to take out dungeons much harder than the ones we have now.

Interesting - probably too much scumming involved for me to get it with a class that can use it properly. Should be good for Demonic Library, though.

Yeah it was very scummy, but very, very popular. Back then I think anyone could cast cydstepp whenever, so gnome rogues were kicking ass left and right. Hey, gnome rogues. But now that all the Sidesteppers efforts have shown how incredibly you can milk EM, she's an engine, and halflings got the health potions, and cauldron lets anyone use health potions to be able to cast cydstepp at will, so it's basically the same thing.

Rogues are by far the best at it since they randomly dodge hits for more free hits, and have the first strike finish, but transmuters should be plenty good, plus they have the easiest time scumming anything so even if you're not into scumming it's possible to give it a whirl. It's a fun bafooney strat :)

Only thing you need to scum for is cydstepp, and yeah, it takes scumming and I'm not a big fan of it in general, but this is just classic (and bloody murderous if done right). Plenty of folks were sad to see it go, and I'm glad it's back :) It's not gonna break anything with the trisword fixed, but I know there's fun to be had with it :)

It's like a new expansion of MtG comes out and you see they reprinted something very old you used to play that got banned and now it's available again but the format let's it fit in and not stick out ^^
